I get this message everytime I install new CC or deinstall CC or even load up the game that I am performing a unofficial game implementation and that this can cause bugs and game crashes.
Then choose between exit and continue. There is no problem after I press continue. So far no game crashes nor bugs I have not encountered yet. But it is just a nuisance to get that message everytime I do something. I thought I should mention it so EA might take some time off drooling over Katy Perry and take some time to fix their terrible scripts.
When I am in the fire fighter career. When there is a emergency my sim gets in the fire truck deals with the emergence. Then returns back to work in a cab. How do I unstuck the fire truck? And also my game is getting terrible lag. It doesn't freeze it just jerks bad. What could be causing it?
@malia_sanchez: Move the userpreset.package to your desktop. If you are absolutely positive there are no custom patterns in your game, that's the only thing I can think of that could cause that issue. The userpreset contains all your ingame saved recolors and styles, so those will be gone when you remove the file, but if you only move it, you can move it back if that does not solve your issue.

@xboxlivehd88: Computer looks good, unsure about the graphic card. I think it should work but is this a card or a chip ? Do you know ? You might wanna check if there are newer drivers available. Is it a laptop or desktop ? Did you try any of the tips on the first page ? Namely the resetsim * cheat ?

Did the above and still saying sims 3 has stopped working just as it is trying to install content, i have every game and stuff pack up to Master Suite Stuff dont know if that helps.

it is intergraded and its a desktop i did a unistall and reinstall and i put my save in and same thing. i dodnt wanna reset my sim it has almost every skill toped out
I have KPST installed right after the patch. I have a problem. My screenshots that I uploaded are uploading fine but they never appear anywhere on my page.
update: I just found the screenshots. They automatically go into screenshot tab.
I have just downloaded the patch through the game launcher. I guess I should have read this first but I am not very technical at all. I can play fine and everything... except the two sim parents in my house are blanked out. I have two boxes on the left hand side. You know the icons that their faces are in... well they are just green no sims or anything. I could see them at first but I couldn't even interact with them. So I evicted them the moved them back in. I can now not see them at all or do anything with them. The daughters are fine to play (two teens and one young adult) and the cat parents and kitten are fine. It's just affected my parents. Thankfully I recently saved the household to my library and I will try and move that save in but can you tell me why this has happened? so sorry to bother you.
I just tried to download the patch from the Launcher (I have never had any problems before) and it went to 100% and said on the Game Updates tab that my game was up to date and then the launcher flashed and it said that there was a new patch. It just won't install it seems. I couldn't get a picture of it because it was so quick.
I've never seen it do that before. I will try to DL the patch manually like you said to see if it's the same.
Edit: Okay so I patched through the link you gave us and now I can't even play at all. It tries to load and says The Sims 3 has stopped working and all I can do is close the program. I am going to try to remedy the situation myself.

Can you please tell me where to find this userpreset.package? I have no idea where it could be as I have already done a search and still could not find it. On another note I'm positive I have no CC left, after contacting EA Games they told me to try downloading the latest version of Origins which still did not work. I really believe that this has something to do with the latest patch as everything was working fine before I installed it. Is there a way I can uninstall the 1.34 and go back to the 1.33?
ETA: After hours of tinkering, I decided to uninstall, reinstall, and when the "an exception" window popped up and asked if I wanted to debug, I clicked "no" this time. When I re-opened Sims 3 I was able to download the 1.34 patch finally!! This has literally taken all day. If I have any further issues, I'll edit this post or post here again.
Hi.. I posted in a Mac help thread, but this has to do with the 1.34 patch..
I am unable to download it through my launcher. I just get "download error" and the download stops. I've tried downloading the super patch, but that will only open in my media player.
The Sims 3 Update 1.34 was finished. I opened it then a message showed that up said that I must close the sims 3. I did it and when I clicked OKAY in the message, nothing happened next.
So i went to the launcher to try and download it again, hoping it's still 100%. But, it went back to 0%. My internet isnt really that fast, so I do hesitate to download the whole update again. I just wonder if there is a completed 1.34 update file that can be found somewhere in my files. I already searched around my computer and my documents, but I failed to find it. Maybe I'm just looking at the wrong places. I dont believe that it could just have disappeared. So anyone know where i can locate the completed 1.34 patch file?
Ever since patch 1.34 i can't play my game Every time it keeps saying "Disc Authorization Fail."
This is the first time the disc authorization fail had happened to me multiple times.
the only glitch I have is the bladder one with this patch their bladders will not go down its nothing major but I just want that need to be fixed I've tried to remove them from the game and re-add them to the house. I have no mods only cc I have is patterns, and store and some usermade stuff and thats all.
@jessicalovesdan: You processor is on the low end and you only seem to have a graphic card chip and not a graphic card. Which EPs are you running ? Did you try lowering your graphic settings ?

userPresets.package it's what it's called. To go back you need to uninstall the base game and reinstall it, then only patch to 1.33 with a manual patch.

@Echo090: So when you hove over the base game icon in your launcher it still says 1.33 ? I'm unsure where the launcher downloads to and since I don't know what region you try to download and what version you're at currently, I can't tell you the file name either.
@Missy406: Do you have the download or the disk version and are you sure your DVD is in the drive if you have the DVD version ? Did you buy the Stuff Pack ? If so, that's the DVD that goes into the drive.

yep I had tried that Reset Sim * cheat 3 times and it didn't help so I thought ok maybe its the cache thingy so I cleaned that out and so far so good its working *knock on wood*
I'm not sure if anyone has encountered this problem yet. But, every time I'm playing the Sims 3, it likes to lag every 15-20 sim minutes. It will literally stop in time every 15-20 minutes. You can still see water moving or fire burning, but everything in time stops. I don't get any error codes or unauthorization fails. I don't have any mods or expansions installed. This is just the base copy. I've never had a problem playing until I installed patch 1.34.
Here we go again!! Since updating to 1.34 having issue with my sims when they travel, double sims and no adventures to be found on boards anyone else noticed this.
I'm not sure if I actually have a fixable problem but I just thought I'd share my issues with everybody else. Like quite a few people I am now suffering crashes within 20minutes into the game. However with these crashes my PC continues to run (tower lights are on, noises etc) but nothing reboots like usual and nothing shows up on the screen. Instead I have to hold down the off button and restart the PC - not something I like doing! I am also suffering as somebody else mentioned, it taking ages from going from Edit Town to "return to game" - I used to do it instantly but now I have to wait and load it. I guess I cannot stay in game long enough to see if anything else if going wrong
I have all games, a lot of store content and Story progression and Overwatch. The only game I don't have, nor will ever buy is Sweet Treats - wished I'd looked here before downloading the latest patch!

I'm having issues with installing store content after a day of installing the 1.34 patch. When it gets to where it tells you it's done installing and it's in your game etc. I get an installtion error. It says.

Hi.. I posted in a Mac help thread, but this has to do with the 1.34 patch..
I am unable to download it through my launcher. I just get "download error" and the download stops. I've tried downloading the super patch, but that will only open in my media player.

So i went to the launcher to try and download it again, hoping it's still 100%. But, it went back to 0%. My internet isnt really that fast, so I do hesitate to download the whole update again. I just wonder if there is a completed 1.34 update file that can be found somewhere in my files. I already searched around my computer and my documents, but I failed to find it. Maybe I'm just looking at the wrong places. I dont believe that it could just have disappeared. So anyone know where i can locate the completed 1.34 patch file?
I run windows 7 by the way.
This is the first time the disc authorization fail had happened to me multiple times.
Make sure to backup the new folder in Downloads
Make also sure Origin is uptodate as well as Adobe Air and Flash Player. You can also try running the launcher as an administrator.
@xboxlivehd88: Restting just puts them in a safe place. All your skill will stay intact. You can also export the Sim via Edit Town so you have a backup of it: http://sims3.crinrict.com/en/2011/02/faq-how-do-i-reset-my-sim-and-what-does-that-do.html. You might wanna look into getting a full card. Should not be a problem with a desktop.
@carla70: Not appearing stuff has nothing to do with the patch. It's an ongoing issue. Is it just the screenshots ?

@malia_sanchez: The file should be in docments\electronicarts\theSims3.
userPresets.package it's what it's called. To go back you need to uninstall the base game and reinstall it, then only patch to 1.33 with a manual patch.
@VixenInViolet: I'm unsure from your post if you still require help or not.
@Echo090: So when you hove over the base game icon in your launcher it still says 1.33 ? I'm unsure where the launcher downloads to and since I don't know what region you try to download and what version you're at currently, I can't tell you the file name either.
@Missy406: Do you have the download or the disk version and are you sure your DVD is in the drive if you have the DVD version ? Did you buy the Stuff Pack ? If so, that's the DVD that goes into the drive.
@DanaKScullyFBl: Did you try resetting the Sims with resetsim firstname lastname ?

I'm not sure if I actually have a fixable problem but I just thought I'd share my issues with everybody else. Like quite a few people I am now suffering crashes within 20minutes into the game. However with these crashes my PC continues to run (tower lights are on, noises etc) but nothing reboots like usual and nothing shows up on the screen. Instead I have to hold down the off button and restart the PC - not something I like doing! I am also suffering as somebody else mentioned, it taking ages from going from Edit Town to "return to game" - I used to do it instantly but now I have to wait and load it. I guess I cannot stay in game long enough to see if anything else if going wrong
I have all games, a lot of store content and Story progression and Overwatch. The only game I don't have, nor will ever buy is Sweet Treats - wished I'd looked here before downloading the latest patch!

Yes i have the disk version. It loads at the launcher but where you choose your household i keep getting the "disk authorization failure"
It is only since i patched did this happen.
I have cleaned the disk multiple times now.
I cant update my game. I can neither install other expansionpacks or uninstall the game. the message I got is : abnormal program termination.
What does that mean, and what can i do?

I'm having issues with installing store content after a day of installing the 1.34 patch. When it gets to where it tells you it's done installing and it's in your game etc. I get an installtion error. It says.
(Please insert store content name here) Installion failied: Please make sure your game has the latest software updates and try again.
Can I fix this issue, if so...how?
