I found that you can save on some lifetime points. My (now elder) sim had the collection finder, as I knew she was approaching grimmy, I thought I'd have a go and see if I can tranfer it from her inventory to her daughters. It worked!! I've only just learnt that you can transfer stuff from inventorys lol. Also did it with the death flower so I only need one sim in the household to be a really good gardener.
Yeah, I actually had bought an affordable house-just to start with(and use for five seconds) and it popped up;

Go into the menu where ya save ur game, and click Options...and disable ageing, which will take ur charcters' age to a standstill. Or, you can choose(ENABLE AGEING FIRST) to keep the Sims' life Short (About 12 days) Normal (25 i think) Long (90) Very Long ( :?: Maybe 120) or Epic (960 DAYS!) its awesome. :-) :roll: Sims 3 is awesome once you get to grips with it. It's just random as to what lot the burial ground appears on. Pick any house and you have a chance of burial ground to meteorite zone.
