Has anyone really been dowloading hair/clothing?
It's all just recolors you could do yourself in game, and downloading them seems like it would only clutter up your files when in CAS. Unless I'm missing something, there aren't really any new "hairstyles" to be found because there isn't a body shop for the game. I'm a little dissapointed.
Thoughts? I want to make sure I'm not missing getting new hairstyles entirely since the selection is a bit slim, especially for adults.

It is possible to make custom patterns already though...
You can see one of mine here:

...and, thanks to HystericalParoxysm, from MTS, the tutorial and list of tools needed is here:

Nice pattern! The only work I saw on the exchange (other than lots, sims)!
Keep up the good work.
I read that yesterday and it scared me_lol where is the bowing smiley! Congrats thats awesome!
May I ask what programs did you use? I only have gimp and pain.net wish I could afford photoshop
I use illustrator, and photoshop, however gimp works fine for rasters, and I heard the Inkscape is a decent, free vector program. You can check it out here: http://www.inkscape.org/
You will need to get a DDS plugin for gimp. You can get it here: http://nifelheim.dyndns.org/~cocidius/dds/
Same with houses and furniture. I was color coordinating an entire house last night and started a new one tonight. Very time consuming stuff when you have to do it item by item, and especially if it's an off color. So yeah, there is a purpose. And heck, even if it wasn't, you have one gigabyte to store your stuff so why not do it?
There are some fairly obvious designs (the usual black and white), but then again, there are also some very oddball stuff on the community as well. Maybe that's one of the plus points of sharing creations. ^^
I honestly can't believe how popular it is to make your own designs and stuff. That's a lot of work for a game...
Hope this helps.
Thanks so much, I'll give that a shot
Paint shop pro is one I haven't tried but hear great things about, thank you
Good luck!
