I had no fluff, began playing today and low-and-behold FLUFFFFFFFFFF. I haven't changed anything at all, and for some reason the fluff fairy has granted me my wish!

I can see the clear coating around the pet as well. I can also see the eye inside of the pet.
This is what I see too, on every longer hair dog or cat. Horses are fine.
No other graphical issues in the past, just this one.
So I haven't even got normal looking fur, let alone additional fluff.
And if I turn advanced rendering on, the game freezes and crashes, which seems to be the only solution to the see-through fur problem.
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 with 2gb dedicated memory, along with 3gb of ram and an i5 processor. I didn't even notice there were no fluffy pets, haha! xD

**** you're lucky!! :P Have fun playing, wish I had that kind of luck!
I don't think ea will find any solution to this this very week nor the next, the game has only been out for a week and it takes some time to make a patch that works! :P We have to wait, and play with short-haired pets ofc!

You could attempt to compromise a little for example, turn all the graphics settings down towards low if you turn on advanced rendering and see if that helps.
I would assume it is a glitch since I just re-downloaded the demo and pick a default breed and it had "fluff" and I went into the full game picked the same default breed and no fluff.

I dont know if this has been mentioned yet, but make sure the edge smoothing is turned down. It can affect rendering. Hope it helps someone, it helped me.
Probably a daft question but I bet I'm not the only one who doesn't know, what is 'rendering'? I mean what does it do? :?

Sadly I tried this, and it still crashed. Guess it can't handle the rendering
But thanks for the suggestion anyway will eagerly await a patch
I tried out my husbands laptop that has a Radeon HD 4250, because someone mentioned they had fluff with their same graphics card. But nope still no fluff, even with all options up high etc. Ive tried all 3 PCs in my house hold, and no fluff.
I'm getting annoyed by this more every day. For some people it works when they update their cards but when most of us update our cards it still does not work. It makes me wonder if any EA staff is reading this thread and they'll just think to themselves "aha, the ones with no fluff are just not updating their cards or if they are they aren't doing it right so we shouldn't have to fix anything. It's their problem."
