Oh dear. This is something I found hilariously annoying. But to start it off, I love Generations

It's my favorite Expansion yet. I've had it since it came out, and STILL haven't seen all it can do.
So I finally came up with the perfect idea for an interesting family.

I planned it out exactly how I wanted them to go.

Candace here

Was going to get together with Aster, her next door neighbor (see? planning!)

So when I did everything I needed to before setting them into gear (edit the town, make a few new kids for theirs to play with, fix sims, the works) I sent Candace out with her new friend Cornelia Goth. You gotta have friends, right?

When I caught a certain next door neighbor taking a look at Candace.

And another...

So obviously, I figured that's my que to set up the relationship. I WAS WRONG! Aster did it himself the minute Candace said goodbye to Cornelia.

It looks like she's interested.

So Candace asks the ol' 'are you single?' And he says no (well of course! I'm sure I didn't set him up with anyone) and gives this cute little response.

They seemed to have made a good impression on each other

So with a goodbye, I decided to send Candace next door the following morning.

She was dressed and ready. I felt certain they'd be in love by the end of the visit.

Someone forgot to change from yesterday, apparently...

But I came here for one thing, and one thing only. To get them together! He was even starting to flirt with her! So pretty much all's set.

....Until I looked in the relationship panel found out Aster was dating River McIrish.

So now I'm at an impasse. You know how sims work on their own. They're dating out of no where and then suddenly *gulp* BABIES. I can't believe in under a NIGHT Aster somehow hooked up with River.

So now I'm between one of two options. Either switch over to Aster and get rid of this the easy way (though it will probably not be easy at all, he's a flirt AND has the Good trait) or make Candace try to slip in and cause a little affair. She is a criminal, you know. Maybe it'd be interesting.

But which would be the better plan, in this case?

Your sim wouldn't be having the affair

Aster would be. I say persue the relationship. When it gets serious, your sim can always ask Aster to break it off with River... the option will come up

I'm all for a clandestine romance. It may not be fair to River, but it should keep you entertained :twisted: see how the situation evolves... Maybe Aster's relationship will get dissolved by story progression anyways?

I love how many people condone cheating on the Sims 3!

And here's another vote for it. The game does pair Sims off really quickly. Or perhaps... The reason he was still in the same clothes from the night before, was because he'd only just returned home before Candace went over? He'd spent the night with River?! Dun dun dunnnn!!

Do the affair, and if you don't persuade the "Get caught in the act" kind of affair, you can also ask Aster "To break up with River" ;') I like doing that, but then obviously the girlfriend/exgirlfriend always hates you so much, well she'll hjate you either way ;]

A Night To Remember

Candace isn't really aware Aster's already got a girlfriend. But hey, would it stop her if she did know?

The next day Candace woke up feeling pretty swell. She decided to make some waffles before work.

She's not the greatest cook...

Oh well, a snack at work will just have to suffice. It'll be easy to snatch one from a coworker.

While she was at work, Bebe Hart invited her to a party. So, for the sake of giving her something fun to do, Candace accepted, and headed over right after work.

The attire was swimsuit. But when I looked at Bebe's house, I noticed she didn't have a pool. Odd....

"Uhhh maybe this party wasn't a good idea after all..."

"Thank the simgod for Aster!"

With the party less awkward and the two together, I figured it's time for them to bond a little more.

So they dance for a little while.

But not much was happening after a while. So Candace invited Aster back to her place. He was all for.

Yup, this is going good. And no River in sight...

Being alone must've been something they both wanted. They got all giddy

But enough of that. Sparks needed to fly~! So Candace asks him to send the night, and Aster agrees. (Talk about commitment... :roll:)

Don't worry Aster, she's not a vampire. I haven't seen one yet, thank gosh.

Ah, time to get done what should've happened yesterday!

Ah, there we go.

No one found out about them, and they finally are under the same roof and in the romantic-interest zone. We can say this night was perfect.

A little...too perfect?

This is funny! I have a soft spot for River because she married my simself and started the family I have that is now on it's 5th generation. Looks like Aster doesn't love River as much as I do though haha, Good for Candace.

Candace woke up to an empty bed. "Huh. I guess he had other plans..."

Yeah

it is. Funny thing is I first had Candace in another house, but them Story Progression told me the Wan-Goddards moved out. So I just packed up Candace and moved her in for the ocean view!

Day One: Advice Please!
Candace knew this would happen...Just not like this...

So, before she'd have to be confined to back pains and bottles, Candace deciced to go out for a run. Little did I know, halfway back this happened!

So Candace went home ASAP.
((If you can see, I bought those wind chimes from the store. They haven't done much from what I could see, but they look kinda cool))

She took a shower, and dear simGod...this is what the game chose as her default maternity outfit. ((I've concluded that I'm deleting this CC as soon as Candace's pregnancy is over... :shock:))

((So until these next three days are up, I'm not letting Candace out of the house...and keeping her in her pajamas.))

Candace figured with how late it was, she should head to bed. Maybe tomorrow would be a little better.

And it did! She made breakfast...

And decided to give Aster the big news. He wanted the family originally anyways.

He didn't feel like coming over, so they talked on the phone.
"...Yeah, it's pretty great. But I'm not totally baby savvy..."

"So when you get a chance, Aster, you mind coming over so we can talk this out?"
"Sure."

So she decided to watch TV for a while. I found this boring, and not very good for a mother-to-be.

Candace hadn't seen Bebe since the party that started this...So why not call her up to visit?

She was all for coming over. Unlike Aster...

With a greeting, Candace told Bebe the good news.

She took it well. Such support!

She was even nice enough to want to feel her stomach

Candace invited her in to talk. Though Bebe was single herself, she was closer than nothing on baby advice...though I can't help but think she's thinking about Candace the wrong way...

They sat to watch some TV.

But they got on the subject of the baby again..And Bebe seemed to be very informative.
"All right, first of all you need to be thinking about toys!"

"Babies love toys, and you've got the perfect nursery space. I could help you out with looking up cribs and all that."

"That's nice, really Bebe. But I really don't know. I'm not sure I can have a kid in my house. Aster might..."

"...Aster Somerset, you mean?"

That pose. That face. Does this mean Bebe knows about River?

And thank you :shock: I was so shocked at that outfit I missed the Sims 2 default pregnancy outfits

i will be bookmarking this. its a good story, keep it up.
also have you thought about getting twallan's master controller mod? then you can change her maternity clothes without having to get rid of any CC.
i know there is the edit in CAS cheat now but i dont know if it works withe pregger sims.
