Mark finally made his way to the castle steps. He stared at them with a pondering expression, then shrugged and began to sweep them off as well. May as well, considering he swept off all the steps and patios along his way.
Once he was finished, Mark made his way up the stairs and through the grand opening of the castle. He peered around the throne room in awe of the lovely patterns weaving themselves around the room. His eyes finally landed on the woman sitting on the throne. That must be the Queen herself.
Later that day I seen the man several time, at times I would think that he's following me. Ever where I when there he was, I'm thinking about asking him if he was and why, but It was hard to ask him....
Eldria sat, relaxed, upon her throne when a guard poked his head in.
"Miss, my lady, townsfolk be approachin'," he told her.
Eldria smiled that warm smile and nodded. "Of course. Let them in as they arrive," she said softly in her musical voice.
OOC: Townsfolk may now enter the throne room as they wish, the guards are quite lenient
Mark watched the Queen from the end of the throne room. He was standing in the open doorway still trying to take the site of the room in. Mark's voice echoed throughout the room, "Your majesty." and he dipped his head in respect and waited for the Queen to address him.
Eldria's green eyes looked up towards the man that had approached. She examined him from head to toe and gave him a warm, approving smile.
"No need for the formalities, my dear, do come in," she said softly, rising from her throne and taking a step forward. "What is your name?"
I carefully fluttered down from the flower bud I was perched on, I carefully looked around and fluttered onward. I headed for the castle, I was going to ask for a room in the inn. I flew around the castle gardens, gazing at all the greenery. I came up to the gates and waited to be allowed in.
OOC: Just wanted to say what Sophia looks like. She has long blonde hair that goes to her waist, she has a daisy chain attached. She wears a blue dress she made out of flower petals.
Even though the Queen stated no need for formalities, Mark dipped his head once again with respect, "Mark, your majesty! That's what they're calling me anyways." He half shrugs but smiles warmly at the kind woman. "You have a lovely castle and a lovely village."
Eldria laughed a little and smiled, motioning towards a chair that sat against the wall, with a few others on either side.
"Come, take a seat, my dear Mark," she replied, grinning. "And thank you. I do take pride in my little town," she added, her green eyes seeming to light up as she said it.
Mark nodded at the gesture and made his way to one of the empty chairs. He took a seat and watched the Queen curiously. It showed on his face that he was there for more than idle chit chat, even though he did seem to enjoy the chance to speak kindly with anyone. This was refreshing. The man then realized he still held a broom upright in one hand, and suddenly seemed like a fish out of water, trying to figure out what the appropriate thing would be to do with it while in the Queen's presence. He managed to lean it up against the wall and then glance back at the Queen.
"I didn't know I still had that.. I didn't mean to be rude, forgive me." Mark exhaled nervously as he tried to relax back into his seat. He couldn't remember if he was ever in the presence of royalty before. He couldn't remember much of anything really.
Eldria laughed her musical laugh and gave the man and kind smile.
"No need to worry, it happens to the best of us. Why, one day back before the big split, I was gardening when I was informed that a Queen from the world of reality had come and wished to see me. In my haste to meet with her, I brought a young tree all the way back with me!" she explained, her bright eyes sparkling warmly.
As she spoke, she sensed other presences gathering outside the throne room, tense as though they wished to see her.
"Whoever may be out there is welcome to enter," she called softly, then turned back to Mark.
"A job, my dear? But of course. Perhaps if jobs are what the newcomers seek, I can get you all sorted out at once," she said with a grin.
Mark gave a hearty chuckle at the Queens story, relaxing a bit more as he grew more comfortable around her. This wasn't so bad at all! Nothing to be that nervous about. He nodded in agreement with the Queen about sorting out everyone's jobs and peered towards the door. He was a patient man and in no hurry.
