Hello!
Aantalia is
finally getting close to being finished. I'm predicting to have a final release in a month or so, with beta in a week or two. Thus, I've begun to think about what my next big project may be! I thought for a while that I'd take a break from CAW after Aantalia and settle down for a while, but I just have too much fun creating.
So, what sort of world would you be interested in? I'd like to do something different from anything that's been done before, and I'd like it to be at least somewhat based off of a real region of the world. I've already tackled Mediterranean and Italian, so those are out. Any ideas? Also, pictures to go along with suggestions are welcome. One idea I had myself was a ski town in the Swiss Alps, with lots of chalets and the like. Thoughts? Ideas? Thanks all, and happy simming!

I don't know, what about a mountainous island resort area? And maybe to make a little different, don't make it a tropical island, although that might be awkward.
Here are some picture ideas:

Just an idea, I don't know if this has already been done though.
BUT.. I've seen you do a lot of tropical worlds. Perhaps something more... non-tropical? Sorry, I'm not very good with advice. I know it's good to keep with what you do best and know, but shaking it up can be fun and creative too!
Ok then, Vancouver?

Wonderful pictures! I especially like that rock in the second picture. That'd be a fun feature to add. I'll keep it in mind.
On the topic of a Canadian/mountain city, it's definitely a possibility. It would be nice to get away from tropical for a little while. My only thing is that I'd like some part of it to be more exotic. Since I live in the US, I love making places nothing like where I live. So, maybe a mountain area in some other part of the world?
Just a few thoughts.
You mean kind of like .... Vladivostok?
Lol, well there's an idea and name, I found a picture just like my thoughts, it's from the movie anastasia: http://public.dawnofvictory.com/swiss/ForumPics/Anastasia/1.jpg

I cannot wait for Iccarus to complete Isla Verde. Reminds me of Sao Tome and Principe off of the west coast of Africa.
This almost looks like a familiar screenshot.
While taking a walk, I got the idea to make my own town, focusing on the lakeshore and beautiful and historic Fort Sheridan. I know I said before I wanted to do something far from home, but I feel I would enjoy making this.
I like the mountain village idea. Here are some images reflecting what I might be interested in doing:
Lastly, I also like the idea of an African town, as it is something I haven't seen here before.
So, which do you like best? In the end, I'm going to base my decision simply off of what I'd most enjoy creating, but I value ideas nonetheless.
Small, 'quaint' as Americans may call it, with fishing/gardening aspect to it. Someone suggested 'fjord' as an idea - that sort of thing. A scaled down Invercargill or Reykjavík, etc.
Alternatively, I for one would like to see a European town (less American - perhaps a obviously exaggerated Tudor town in England like Veronaville was?) or an Alpine town/city like Davos, Swizterland or Chamonix, France.
Btw, you're not allowed to say 'brainstorming' anymore in the UK. It offends people with epilepsy so you have to use 'thought-shower' or something which I always thought was rather an interesting concept
