    Alpendorf ~ A Swiss/Bavarian Alpine World ~Update October 3~ New Pics pg 2

    One of my favourite places to go in the world, besides British Columbia in Canada, is Bavaria and Switzerland. I absolutley love quaint little alpine villages set against the Alps... So I've decided to give my Sims their own taste of German/Swiss culture by creating an Alpine world. :D

    Alpendorf (German for Alpine Village, I think :oops: ) will hopefully be a collection of 3-4 different quaint villages.

    With much delay, I have finally found inspiration to take on this project. I believe it will take me a few months, as there is a alot to do.

    The start of the first Alpine range and farm. Still much to do with both.

    The first Bavarian-style farm house. I love this picture. :) Still lots to do with this lot.

    The Alps. I have alot more texturing and painting to do with this.

    A closer view. These larger ranges will not be accessable in the finished world. They are merely for effect. :-)

    A closer view of the first home. The exterior is about 60% complete, and the first floor is 80% complete.

    Disneyland! I want this to be the centre of one of the villages. :)

    Expect an update soon, as it's the weekend and I have no homework. Feedback would be great too!

      Very nice job so far. I`m loving the distant Alpine mountain massif and the Alpine cottage.

      Wow! The mountains and buildings you have made so far matches your reference photos very well. At first I didn't realize when you had transitioned to real photographs! :shock: :mrgreen:

      Here's some new pictures for you all! Today I focused on expanding the mountain range, beginning to build roads, and finishing up the exterior of the first farm house. I also added another lot, which I will build on in the next few days. :D

      Oh and the roof on the barn the pattern looks different than the ones in the base game, is it or not :?:

      Yes, the roof pattern is different. I used a thatched roof pattern from thesimsresource. :mrgreen:

      This is an absolutely LOVELY idea for a world! This part of the world has some of the best scenery ever and you're doing an excellent job in its recreation!

      Do you know my dream is to live such a wonderful place ? Anyway, i really, really love your world. It truely looks like a real Swiss mountain village and i think the world style itself is really well done thought.

      Nice job, great idea.
