    Hehehe...teaholic here too....
There should be green tea....and moodlets like when you drink green tea something like relaxed or earl gery tea something like hyper and such....

I totally agree! With WA EA could add cup of tea, cause of China, and chinese people drink tea a lot. And not only cup of tea, they can add hot chocolate.

Yes I agree with this while my medical sim was doing the free medical clinics the sims do not wait patiently. It would be good if sims would at least stop complaining so much while they wait.

I agree with the Tea idea Tea is consumed in many countries the world over its not just a "British" thing LOL.

Post boxes in doors would be great too and the letters can fall on the mat for your sims to scoop up, same as they scoop up the washing or the dirty dishes.

And a nice gossip over the garden wall (do they do that in other countries?).

I would also like my Sims to wave at other Sims that they see across the street and wave out of car windows.

Push chairs (strollers) to take the babies out to the park and car seats too!

Well I wished for washing machines and Eco friendly items and options and we got those LOL so I am crossing my fingers for the above :)

P.s. We Brits have filter coffee makers, cappuccino makers, soda streams and even teasmades! but you can't beat a good old cup of freshly brewed tea in a china cup!!!
    Simming since the beginning! :)

Well, it seems the teams in the sims 3 are soccer teams, We could say we want football as we are american. There isnt a lot of american things in game either (excluding Hot Dogs)

I think the Sims team only like two sports: Soccor (or Association Football in it's correct term) and Baseball (which did you know the first recorded reference of the sport was in a Jane Austin Novel), as even in the later SimCity games (3000 World/Unlimited/UK Editions and SimCity 4), the only two sports venues you could have were football fields/astroturfs and baseball diamonds.

Though when it comes to the Sims despite the career symbol always being a football (or soccorball), they always used "Athletic", a generic way to describe the career and used job ranks one would associate more with baseball (I'm pretty sure football/soccor doesn't have MVPs etc, but I don't really follow any sport so not 100% sure), and in the Sims 3, female athletes are given a cheerleading dress (or it could be a tennis dress)

Why are you guys trying to think of making the sims 3 a more british life? that's sort of selfish , :shock:since there's is people from around the world and 2nd this is an american game and since america is filled with different people from diffrent cultures there shouldn't be a problem. :(

We are not denying there shouldn't be cultural objects from other nations, but as well it should not all be cultural objects from just one part of the US.

I'd like to see some Canadian lakes/log cabin stuff, as well as some European (not modern Eurotrash stuff, but the fine art and classy stuff). I'd also like to see some of the rabbit holes have drastically different architecture, maybe a Victorian style gothic City Hall (and by the way, Victorian doesn't just mean British, but any country of the period).

Maybe some medditerranean Spanish/Italian esque items and maybe cultures from different parts of the US.

Lol personally, there is nothing cultural about USA is always a bunch of people from diffrent race and ethnic group but sticking with USA's Modern cilivization of living most people are to focus on the economy but not the planet.
since puertorico is goign to become 51st state would it count if they made islander houses and natural food just like a normal tropical enviroment.

i was born in Puerto Rico and it's going to become a state finally, since they had argue and fight about this decision for long years. But, it doesn't mean people just start moving in because is full that's why Puertoricans such like me had to move out or for other personal reasons.

Everywhere has a culture. The reason why many Americans don't like welfare, inheritence or socialised healthcare is due to their culture dating back to the British colonies, when one guy (can't remember his name), that only those who work hard can get the benefits of life. And American culture varies from state to state, city to city, even district to district. You may not have castles dating back to before the Doomsday Book, but it isn't castles that make culture. It's people and their traditions they pass on down the generations. Chances are you don't recognise your own culture, but you have gotten so used to it, you don't recognise it as a culture.

i don't think it was the british, the people before the british were the Native Americans there the one who should be in charge and credited.

well my culture is a bit diffrent it has been taken away from us and stolened from us we don't know our origin language or culture. i'm actually related to the Arawak tribe and Taino. Plus they stoled our artifacts.

and it's funny that they say the Arawak tribe is extinct in some websites it's very funny that they send bad info.

back to the topic, i agree with having a pathway on the door where mailman put your mails or delivery and a kettle to make tea is relaxing to me even if my sims are drinking it.

A kettle and tea sounds like a very nice idea. Theres actually a lot of brit stuff that I like and think that should be added. Crumpets, kettles, tea time, clothes, and driving style.

I wish they could eat bubble and squeak :)

They CAN get fish and chips in France (I think?). And I would love to see some vintage Mod British clothes (micro mini dresses and go-go boots, skinny trousers for men - although that's really just a retro thing, not a British thing).

Not a lot of Americans, Some do, but they usually have a coffee machine. Americans dont drink a lot of tea like the Brits.

Anyway, the weather is beautiful here today! hehe

I am an American and I drink tea everyday. It is my favorite beverage. I love it hot or cold doesn't matter. I take mine with sugar and lemon. I don't add cream to my hot tea. To me that just doesn't seem like it would taste good. I had rather have tea than soft drinks anytime.

In the US they said in the news that Tea gives a higher risk of some kind of cancer (that i have forgotten). But i'm not sure it's true these scientist will make some simple little lie about something but you never know. :P

Born and raised in US. Drink Tea quite often and have always had a kettle in my house. As do all my relatives, and I have a very large family....Its not nearly as rare here as you might think. Oh and I don't drink coffee....disgusting, but smells great.

I've no idea what the simmer above me is referring to...never seen a news program that said tea caused a type of cancer. Actually the opposite in regards to green tea.

Meh, it's getting rediculous. If you so much as look up to the right, then to the left your chances of getting cancer are significantly increased <- joke, but we're alot more restricted with what we're supposed to intake.

Ironically, by telling us the many things that are supposed to lead to cancers and other numerous things, this in itself leads to stress, worrying about it. And stress leads to X,Y and Z of other numerous problems. LOL

We can go through life avoiding allsorts to last a bit longer, but none of us are getting out alive anyway.

*goes to put the kettle on* I fancy a brew!

Caffinated tea has a certain chemical in it (or did at one point) that can cause some kind of damage to your body, should you drink too much of it. Can't remember the name of the chemical or what damage it can do.

One time my brother (one of many) visited. He decided that myself and my mum should be healthy. Part of that was getting decaff tea. I've got IBS. I have pains in my stomach from cramps and such like most of the time. Decaff tea made those pains twice as bad as normal (and they're bad enough under normal circumstances). The switch back to caffinated was fairly quick. I think it was within 24 hours.

I'll take my chances with whatever chemical it is that may or may not be in ordinary tea.

Keep in mind that SimNation is basicly The United States of America. You can tell because of the sim's love of cars, hamburgers, and lawn flamingos. All part of American culture. Also Maxis and EA games are both American companies. Mabie if they expanded World Adventures, they could add Great Britan to appeal to all the British players.

As for me, i like how American the sims are, i wouldn't change it one bit.

I live in Canada, and my parents have tea everyday!
I think that that'd be a cool thing to have for our simmies!

It could be linked with the snob trait, and also I think that sims with the workaholic trait should like drinking coffee.
