I understand that the game has only just come out and patches will follow... People that say this is childish and so on because its a new release, can be a little annoying.
I bought this game for my daughters birthday this morning and whilst I expected a few bugs, I did not expect the game to not even pass the launcher, all I get is 'problem connecting to the server, check connection or wait if persists.'. Needless to say, I think 9 hours later was good patience.
After running the game through macs terminal I see that the game is failing to get modules, channels and the xml 'update manifest' is even missing from EA's website.
So, to the people opposed to all complainers on this thread, I say, there's a difference between first release bugs and rushing to get the game out on time, and if the latter, then thats bad company ethics. This game should of been tested on all supported platforms. But then again, wasn't all other EA ported games to mac just as bad?

EA did false advertising. Graphics are not as good as shown in videos before game came out.
AGREED. i watched a video about the game and it said specifically the game makers wanted the game to have amazing graphics even on computers that are ancient. my laptop is 4 years old and the graphics are blurry as hell
I'll sign. The game crashing and returns to desktop without warning. I can create my sims or design a house and have no problems but when I starting playing within 3 to 5 minutes the game crashes. Sad day!
