Some sims say that it was 100 years ago, some say more but all say that the asylum was a horrid place. Those who the residents felt to be unsavory would mostly get sent to the old asylum, just to get them out of the way of it's other citizens. Some went there for actual help and got it, however some just wound up being left and forgotten. Since the asylum was relatively small they needed to figure out something to do with those that stayed for longer periods of time. The longtime residents of Sunset Valley say that the workers would experiment on the longest staying residents, those that were deemed to be a waste of time and resources. It is told that there used to be a basement where the experiments would take place.

The doctors in charge would give the patients fruits and vegetables that were enhanced with what hoped to become the first life fruit, but many of them just gave other side effects. Some sims just got very ill and eventually died, and some would lose all recollection of who they used to be, they just knew what happened recently.

Viewing this as close enough to as cured patients they let them out of the asylum. Those that were released wound up having issues every full moon. They would bury themselves in the dirt during the day then that night would come back out as some undead creature later referred to as zombies. The 'zombies' would target plants because of the things done to them and what they have seen happened to others. The plants, and crops were the focus of their torment to them so they would tear apart gardens. When they tried to have families the gene would occasionally be passed down to their children causing them to do the same.

Approximately twenty years after this had began the locals found out the cause of the zombies they banded together to have the asylum permanently closed down. It was viewed as a stain on their history, so it was closed down and those that worked there were forced out of Sunset Valley. Many went to Moonlight Falls, and some went into a life of recluse, trying to hide from the atrocities that they had done.

After a few generations the asylum still sits at the top of the hill by the waterfall, some would try to break in for a good scare, so much better than the haunted house put up each year. The inside of the asylum was filthy, webs all over, and rodents scurried about in the darkness. Those who ventured inside would bring a flashlight, some young couples would use it as a way to get their lover to jump into their arms, then would make out and occasionally more. Some wound up having a child and a few of those children wound up being cursed by the restless souls of those lost to the asylum so many years ago.

Now that the asylum has been purchased to make a luxury hotel into, what will happen. Will there be any crazy enough to stay there, or will it be viewed as an exciting dance with danger?
