Squee. So happy for you (and the Cantrells if that’s appropriate). I’ve been following many of your posts for some time and I’ve gotten rather attached to Erik myself and have some small idea what this means to you.
Fantastic news! I’ve read about some of the more recent battles you’ve faced with this save, but I didn’t realise they dated back 3 and a half years - I’m impressed by your determination and patience! Hope you enjoy finally being able to take this story forward
Thank you. I very much look forward to what comes next for them. In some ways, losing the original save was a bit of a godsend, inasmuch as I learned a way for his music to be recognized, along the way, and then MWS and HSY hit, and we also got Infants before my save got to this point. In fact, I had my young couple all ready to become parents, but we had a full two months real time before the infant patch. I had also managed to mess up on Erik's list of songs. Happily, I had uploaded my Cantrell family to My Library, and they all had their skills, et al and Erik had his star-status intact. I started with them. Going back to redo that mess and learning a way to remove the fact he'd already achieved Global Superstar status (only one title per Sim, it seems :O) which allowed me to have him place his tile all over again in the new save. That save is the one I'm playing to this date. I do a Save As, with each playing session to help keep it from getting corrupted. That by itself is a saving grace. Sometimes, it has been necessary to recover a save.
Congratulations! As someone who has seen your posts around about your sims and the struggles you went through but never posted, i'm very happy to see you finally get here.
Have a super fantastic awesome splendid amazing day! -TheQxxn

Thank you. It's been a long road, I'll tell you that with more than my share of ups and downs. Feels good to be here at long last, but I confess, I almost feel at loose ends. It's that whole Undiscovered Country ahead of me. Hopefully today I'll get a chance to play the game.

Undiscovered Country? I suppose then, @GalacticGal , that it's time for you and Erik to explore new worlds, seek out new sims, and boldly go where you have never gone before! May you both live long, and prosper. (Makes Vulcan salute)
Seriously though, I Can't wait to see what adventures await you both. Congrats again!
