Horse Ranch Hotel

Background
You’re a runaway teen from a foster home that has dropped out of high school to follow your dreams. You have wanted to train horses, race horses, care for horses, basically anything and everything to do with horses, since childhood. Sharing your passion with others is important, so you decide to run your own horse ranch hotel.

Setup
  • Create a teenager in CAS
  • Move them into the 50x50 lot, Palomino Junction in Chestnut Ridge
  • Bulldoze the lot
  • Set traits to dog hangout, cat hangout and teen neighborhood if available
  • Lot challenges are: Creepy Crawlies, Off-the-Grid, Reduce and Recycle, Simple Living, Wild Foxes and Wild Prairie Grass as available
  • Buy items from buy mode that total $6,000 and place them in the household inventory. You cannot use those items or place them on the lot.
  • Cheat Simoleons to 0
  • Suggested lifespan is long, but you may use any. Aging for all sims and animals should be on.

Rules for Stage 1, Teenager
  • As a teenager, you may not sell any nectar. You can drink it.
  • While on this lot, you may not make or age any nectar.
  • Don’t buy prairie grass from build/buy.
  • You may only buy items in build/buy that can be used outdoors like tents, grills, outdoor showers, dumpsters, trash cans, etc.
  • No walls or roofs.
  • You may not buy any animals or add any animals to the household.
  • If a teenager comes to your lot, you must add them to the household and provide for their needs. If you don’t want to use mods to make your household bigger, you can kick out the oldest teenager other than the original sim when a new teen shows up.
  • You can only control the original sim directly. For the other sims, you can direct them to satisfy a need that is lower than green, follow a want, overcome a fear or complete an aspirational step.
  • Earn money through collecting anything in the world around you and doing community jobs through the job board. No one may have a regular job, but you can sell anything your autonomous sims collect or make.
  • Use the money to pay off the debt of $6,000, then you may delete the items from the household inventory and move to stage 2.

Rules for Stage 2
  • You still cannot sell, make or age nectar. You can only drink it.
  • You may now make walls and roofs in build/buy, but only log cabins with no toilets. Use the bushes or public restrooms.
  • You may buy animals as long as you purchase the items to care for them first.
  • All showers and bathtubs need to be in one building in a public space, but you may make a pond for water and fishing.
  • No electronics except for an off-the-grid refrigerator and stove. You may also purchase a generator, solar panels and/or wind turbine because off-the-grid is broken without them.
  • Use the washtub and clothesline if you have laundry day.
  • You may use a vacuum if you have bust the dust.
  • If anyone comes to your lot, you must add them to the household and provide for their needs. Optionally, add their entire household if you have room. If you don’t want to use mods to make your household bigger, you can kick out the previous residents to make room. Have everyone quit their jobs and afterschool activities. Kids and teens can stay in school, but try to have them take vacation days as much as possible. You can also make holidays every day of the year that give a day off of work/school if you have seasons.

  • If all of a sim's needs are green, you may direct them to go horseback riding, practice barrels or jumps if you own a horse.
  • Earn enough money through breeding horses and other animals and horse racing. Don’t use collections to make money unless it’s on your lot.
  • Complete the horse aspiration and then earn enough to buy Red Roan Field and build a hotel and stables worth at least $100,000 in order to move to stage 3 if you are at least a young adult.

Rules for Stage 3
  • Change to the Nectar making aspiration. You may now make, age and sell nectar.
  • You may choose lot traits. Drop the off-the-grid lot challenge, but keep Creepy Crawlies, Reduce and Recycle, Simple Living, Wild Foxes and Wild Prairie Grass as available
  • You can now buy electronics.
