    Anyone have any information or any speculation on what is coming next for The Sims 4?

    Personally I really hope they don't do a 5, but keep updating and improving TS4

      I hope that we get more pack refreshes. The Sims 4 going free to play means that EA will have to rely on DLC sales to make money, so they now have monetary incentive to make the DLC more appealing.

      Really! There will be proof, because I notice that stuff pack 19 has been rumored to back because it's 2022, period! After installing High School Years EP, I see some musical words all over these build/buy objects, because I need to see singers and bands to come back

      They can't keep doing the Sims 4 forever as the Game Engine wouldn't be able to handle it.

      I agree. The sims 4 is 8 years old. And technology and computer systems have really advanced since 2014. I see them pushing it to the ten year mark but not further than that. I don’t think the game engine can handle a lot bigger expansions so while I think their milking it, I don’t think the next two years are going to expand much, although I do think their going to maybe have one or two more expansions but they will be lighter ones and I think they will focus more on the updates and existing issues, like maybe a lot of pack refreshes. I do suspect that another sims game is in the horizon and while I don’t really think will hear about it tell summer of 2023, I do think the summit is going to announce a big update for the sims 4. And possibly a game pack or expansion pack to look forward too that has to do with the update. I’m guessing it’s going to be the biggest update to the sims 4 yet, even more than what they have recently done. It may even be sort of a game overhaul on the personalities, emotion game play, something of that sort that they know could be way improved.
      I am ready for a new sims game. We need a fresh one without all the bugs and crashes. We need a better foundation for a sims game, one that’s not based mainly on a sims emotional state. But one with more depth and personality. I think the sims 5 or a new sims game is in the making and I think it is going to have more grit and not play it so safe as the sims 4 has, I think their will be a lot more to love with the next one of its got more spice to it, such as consequences, crime, more drama mixed. I do think there’s a small possibility they might release this version of the sims before the sims 4 is done. Because a lot of people like the sims 4 due to it being very family friendly. But I would say it’s more geared to that and it’s also what people don’t like and miss from previous versions are the more mature themes and humor. So maybe to please both kind of fans, they might have both versions going at the same time.

      This better be my favorite interest, or else I’ll never wanna talk about what it’ll feature in The Sims 4

      I really hope we get spiral staircases in the base game now because a mod for it has just come out and it’s time the Sims team gave us content we want.

      You say that as if we didn't get the farming pack/werewolves/content for teens/content for kids that have been highly requested.

      Edit: and small telescopes and curved walls

      I'd be keen to see a revamp of Dine Out. It's an old game pack, kinda buggy, and could use some TLC.

      I would love that but they have to fix the laundry stuff first cause it’s so bugged it’s not working at all in my game 🥲 I love adding it to every build I make but now I can’t because the dirty clothes just pile up and I can’t wash or dry them 😭 wasted money on pack that doesn’t work at all 😭

      I want a cruise ship. A big huge cruise ship in the ocean off of sulani.. with 5 decks, a shopping mall, 10 build mode cabins, 20 new npc sims, and a cruise ship captain and cruise ship entertainer career, a pool, a casino, a nightclub and sea pirates.

      I think it’s just me who wants this though 😂.

      I wouldn’t mind a pack like this. I have been wanting hotels and casino’s for a long time.

      My guess for the Summit is that they'll announce an overhaul of certain game features, like the Gallery (customizable Lot thumbnails, anyone?). Maybe they'll introduce the Simguru Platform that they patented a while ago. Or the game is getting a new look - UI, maps and all.

      I saw that 2 kits have been leaked. One YouTuber said that they might be two game play kits. One with a new coffee machine, and one with a new smoothie maker.

      That would be nice! I'd love new kitchen appliances.
