    My elder Sims can't retire

    Since the most recent patch/update my elder sims can't
    retire. I've tried it by phone many times. Every other option
    works, like get promotion or take vacation day but they can't retire
    I repaired the game and restarted my computer but it's the same.

      Since you're playing on PC, try using this mod, it fixes the retirement bug.

      You might want to post this on EA Help page as well. Hope this is fixed because I also like to retire some of my sims with their check as well.

      I fixed it with a cheat.
      careers.retire <nameofcareer>

      Some may want you to write adult in the cheat window like this

      careers.retire adult_writer
