There’s a Sim Guru allocated to Scenarios?! 🙄🤷🏼♂️.
What about players like me who aren’t interested in these scenarios? What features are coming for us?
I would love them to throw this energy into fixing the bugs in the game and testing packs before launch.
The Sims 4 has great potential but it still feels like the direction is all over the place 🤦🏼♂️.
Yeah sim guru duck is the main developer (it seems) that works on scenarios and he seems to be super excited about it that he changed his name to simguruScenarios lol.
And for people that are not interested in scenarios. The entire sims team is not exclusively working on scenarios. And there is one more update left for this season so maybe there is something there that interests you.
I love the new scenarios, but I don't want it to dissapear! I am going on holiday so will not have time to try it out. Hope the same scenarios is still there when I come back!
I have been waiting for significant features engaging family style gameplay since 2017. I also played a whims based playstyle, but they trashed that mechanism in-game and it takes mods to fix it. They know what many want, I just believe they can't program it into the game. You know, since they scraped the online idea due to backlash from another franchise they destroyed with that idea.

It depends on how huge the team is right know. It seems to be getting smaller and smaller. A small team should focus on the important things like game improvement and not on things that may be nice for some players but don't have an effect on the game itself.
With a huge team they would have released 3 more packs this year and not only kits. Kits and scenarios are made for small teams. They make us believe that we are getting more content and the players shall forget that they don't release packs with new gameplay.
What are they doing for player like me who don't play scenarios and don't buy kits? Oh, we got eco footprint for the plants, but that's no new gameplay. And one of the small 5 bugfixes even wasn't fixed.
As long as we can play the challenges without starting a scenario they are useless. And as long as kits don't offer new gameplay they are useless too.
And limited time scenarios are uselees for increasing the number of active playing gamers. Many simmers like me play offline. Sims 4 isn't an online game.

In a game development studio it makes sense to have a leading dev allocated to a specific feature no matter how big or small. In this case Duck may even be the only one working on it. His team would be quite small regardless.

I want Werewolves. SimGuru Duck probably isn’t the guy working on Werewolves. That would be another team of lads and ladies.
I would love them to throw this energy into fixing the bugs in the game and testing packs before launch.

I agree that there seems to be no focus in direction at the moment. On the other hand, I’m happy to see they’re trying out different base game features for us to play with. We are the testers. I’m ok with that as long as outstanding bugs are fixed in the process.
EDITED because I accidentally posted the darn thing before I finished blabbering about stuff.

Scenarios will not appeal to everyone... I think they will appeal to people that just want to try something different. I can also see how they can work for people that maybe don't play the game a lot, they can boot up the game, try a challenge and then come back some other day and continue.
But we did get a lot of other features this year that I liked, like the scared emotion, bunk beds, likes/dislikes, six new hair colors, modular furniture, the new notebook and the water and pond tool.
The people who made those features are probably working on something else for future updates. I'm not sure when they will be ready though, maybe they have one update left for the end of this year. Or they are planning for new updates for 2022.
I agree what you said about bug fixes though, EA have to give them more time and allocate more resources for bigger releases, very few bugs have been fixed from Cottage Living.

Yes there is one more left. Probably coming at the end of this month.
I haven’t updated my game for scenarios and unless I see something added to the game at some point that makes it worth my while then I don’t plan on updating it either anytime soon.
I think I can confirm it somehow and I'm confused, I have finished this scenario after 32 minutes without really playing it. I had created a couple, bought a lot, fast build a house and then I wanted to play. One sim should go to the museum, but when reaching the location, the pop-up came which told I have finished it. They hadn't spoke one single word to eachother.

I only have the first three. I don't have the others in my menu.

Where do we leave feedback on the scenarios?
Feedback forum or tweet to SimGuruDuck.
Someone already started a thread in Feedback.

Same, and I even updated to make sure.
I believe they all show if you play offline.
Coming December 1
Surviving the holidays will be a new limited time scenario.
Thank you for sharing. This will be very useful.
