For real though, I've built a few "sexy" rentals in "normal" places for my Sims to vacation. I'm seriously confused as to why it all needs to be "moar sexi"? 😆 Is this a legit thing? Not sure which pack allows rentals, but I don't see an issue personally.
Again/more clearly I'm not trying to start an argument, I'm just for real not understanding how the "rental option" isn't good enough for a lot of players.
I can't decide between the Italian one (I want my vineyards and wine making!) and New Orleans (I love your ideas for content in it!)
I want both.
Also had an idea of my own involving something Vegas in nature that would have hotels and casinos in it (among other items) where you could do a "Honeymoon in Vegas" or elope in Vegas complete with a chaplain dressed as Elvis. (what?)
THIS IS BRILLIANT!!! I would like the marriage/proposal/elope aspect of the game to be more developed! I'm absolutely adore the elvis thing! What if we could work as the impersonator or even gain the ability to marry your kiddos via marriage license??? SO FUN!!!
All of them sound very nice, but I'm going with Farm life. Of course, that would be more rural and maybe rustic, but what theme beyond that? I think my dream pack for farm life would be a more medieval setting, but given how little is in packs I can't seem them combining both farms and past time travel together. I'm assuming a farming type world would be more generic, like Appaloosa Plains was in Sims 3. There's nothing wrong with "generic" in that sense, it was actually my favorite Sims 3 world.
I think we could do a TON with even a simple world though. I would just really LOVE some larger lots we can really build on and create an actual farm with. I find myself gravitating towards the 64x64 lots and there just aren't enough of them. Also, even if the world is basic at best, think of all the things we could incorporate!!! ESPECIALLY if they added in the animals, the additional game play we want, horses, actual farming, maybe a tractor (if we ever get functional cars)...ALL THE THINGS...ALL THE POSSIBILITIES!!! )
Music and Crime, obviously! (Kidding! Horrible joke, sorry. lol) But seriously they've taken other worlds into interesting directions, I don't want to flesh things out in my mind too much, since if anyone sees this and likes the idea, they may have something to add that would be brilliant.
I guess I think of art, music, culture, an interesting mix of old-school charm and insufferable hipsters. A brewery maybe? I've read people mention brewing in the dude stuff discussions. Actually, barber shops and garages may not be out of place either. Hmm. And pizza ovens and hot dog/pretzel carts? We have American Food and Pizza stands, but carts are cooler. Coney Island is in Brooklyn too, that's an amusement park and another beach.
See? I said I wasn't going to overthink this! lol
What if we got a city and one of the lots we can visit and interact with (perhaps even a festival) is a Coney Island look-alike! I adore the pizza ovens- want one terribly!! and the city can have apartment which, quite frankly I love, and hotdog/coffee stands/umbrella and magazine racks on the corners like a real city would have. There could be street performers, and perhaps a subway (just the entrance/functional or not) and perhaps a bike lane on the road, and a park to feed pigeons, and DO YOU WATCH FRIENDS?! We could make our own Central Perk?!?!?!?!? And there could definitely be an uptick of crime/police presence in the community- we could bring back burglars!!! There could be renter's insurance incase of a break-in...but no killing people (that might be too violent)...heheh! there could be an italian family pizzeria like you said (cool backstory of the family who started the business with nothing and it is now owned 7 generations...goal being to improve the business or add something to it each generation without forgetting their origins and how the place started to begin with).
This could go a lot of ways:
1. uptown being highclass, downtown being more ran down and high crime
2. very futuristic, not time travel, but technology driven
3. old school, 1920s brooklyn/chicago- city separated into boroughs

Thanks. lol But don't encourage my bad jokes, you'll be sorry.
I love all your ideas. A generational thing could work really well in such a setting too, I think. I can see the old men feeding pigeons and playing chess in the park. I imagine a grouchy old patriarch, whose father came from the old country, worked hard and opened a pizzeria, just passed it down to his son, and the old man just isn't convinced that his son is running the family business the way he thinks he should. I don't know what people like to/want to do with kids and teens, but I'm imagining that a Coney Island knock off would be entertaining for people of all ages.
I'm really intrigued by the the building options. I would love to see some floor level businesses with apartments above. Speaking of Central Perk and even Tom's Restaurant from Seinfeld:
Building in these areas would be fun and give us options for creativity. Knowing how this game works, we will probably still have to have a loading screen when going down from an apartment to the ground floor business, but it would still be cool. People could make the ground floor a cafe, restaurant, retail shop, bar, laundromat, art gallery, whatever. Barber shops/beauty salons would work well in such places too if we do ever get those. It would be fun and challenging to build unique businesses on these little corner lots. Much like how building in an apartment works, we wouldn't be able to change the structure of the building, but allowing us to change wall coverings and place things like planters, awnings and signage would be needed if they could figure that out. I'm sure it's a long ways away if something like this ever comes out, but I think it sounds great.
New Orleans - All things music, especially jazz, different instruments (saxophone and trumpet), a speak easy, maybe some voodoo, incredible foods (cajun blends and beignets), The French Quarter and Bourbon Street and Lafayette Cemetery
It was a bit of a toss up for me between Farm Life and New Orleans but I'd like to see a little more supernatural like Voodoo, Jazz and Big cities with a nightlife, plus it could be a good opportunity for the Gurus to add in Werewolves.
Other (please let me know the world you've dreamed up)
A world that doesn't have concrete roads and suburban/urban/rural shells, basically no houses or human intervention to nature in the view. Like Glimmerbrook but much larger and without concrete road and stonework. I would like at least one not occupied/empty 64x64 lot too.
Farm Life - Full of all the things, pigs and sheep and horses and chickens, canning and shearing sheep and learning to ride horses, animal fairs to show off your livestock, lemonade stands, orchards, barnyards, and Farmer's Markets (we could also throw in a grocery store here)
Farm Life, but it doesn't have to have livestock, I'd like it to focus on horticulture and be based somewhere other than the US.

And I agree wholeheartedly. Would like to do one better, though: some more worlds with not just an empty 64x64 lot but some other empty larger sized lots like the 50x50 and the medium sized ones like the 40x40 and 30x30 ones.

(I'm been redoing my gallery stuff so bear with me. FYI: I never use CC on my gallery builds. I rarely use MOO.) I am usually more pleased with my room builds than my lot builds.

I can see this kind of thing coming in a farming pack. Who knows, maybe that will be coming up? We would have to have room to build farms after all, and it would be rural because farms usually are.
Egypt - Pyramids and epic museums, archeological digs, colorful homes, an active marketplace, and camel rides, of course! (not an adventure world, just different lots incorporated)
Ok, now that kits are turning into a small Stuff Pack, Stuff Packs are turning into small Game Packs & a Game Pack is turning into a regular Stuff Pack. The next world in the Expansion Pack (Game Pack) should be like Moonlight Falls with Fairies & Werewolves.

I agree with you that the next expansion pack should have Werewolves. But there needs to be werewolf/vampire hybrids too. But I like the sound of camel rides, active marketplace and colorful homes as well. I think that having the Egyptian area have the same amount of household lots as Willow Creek is a good idea.
We could also use a superhero/supervillian expansion pack as well, but I think I am in the minority on that one.

I voted Farm Life. We never really had a farm experience in the Sims series. We had a couple items in the Sims 3 store (the chicken coop and the cow) which were enjoyable additions. Also, the horses in Appaloosa Plains. It will be great to see these fully fleshed out along with the previous features such as canning and juicing. Although we don’t have an open world like sims 3 to give the animals free rein, creating a large roaming space like what was done in Island Living will suffice.

No horses. They are on farms, but you can't get farm products from them. I'd rather see cows. Horses take too many resources and need their own pack with unicorns and pegasus. If horses were there, we would not get hardly any farming. Horses take up to much in a pack. Cows, pigs, chickens, goats, sheep, ect real farm producing animals.
Thanks. lol But don't encourage my bad jokes, you'll be sorry.

[/quote] OKAY...don't know why the little "quote" thing messed up, but @OutlawWoman
THIS IS PURE BRILLIANCE!!! I absolutely agree. The generational gameplay would fit this pack perfectly. I wish this could be something we could buy tomorrow!!! For the teens/kids, what if we introduced roller blading/skateboarding into the game...plus a skate park? Just a suggestion. I just adore the Friends and Seinfeld additions (best TV shows ever!!) Also, would love the apartments on top of the businesses. Honest, I don't mind the load screens. Though, I would like the option of having multi-build lots. For example, the restaurant and landromat and boutique all in one lot. You can own all or just one, but all parts are still playable. Not sure how this would be done though...probably too complicated heheh!
Anyways, Kudos to you!! Never would have thought of any of this without your suggestion! Thanks )

Sorry, just noticed this! Yes, that would be great! It's been a while since we had a large world with a lot of empty space (and we never had empty large lots.)

Edited for formatting weirdness.
For the farming pack, i can still see them adding the rural shells and general "lived" environmental objects. I really would like a place that looks untouched by human civilization, if a farming pack manage to do that, I would be pretty pleased.

I really want a medieval pack (with werewolves and/or faeries). I'd also like to see an African-themed world. Or a future/sci-fi world. Or both African and future, and let me build Wakanda.
Other (please let me know the world you've dreamed up)
I would love to see a SciFi-World, a Fairy World or an Alien World. Or just a second, playable neighborhood for Sixam and the Magic Realm. I hate that my Sims can't live there.
