Can anyone recommend a tropical island world that has the beauty of IP without the issues? I'd especially like a world with the community lots all on one island, with at least three dive lots and several ports.
I've recently been playing in Izabo Atoll by @tammyjo329 https://thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=8867150
In appearance it's more like Sunlit Tides, but has ports, dive lots and a couple of hidden islands. There is also an unpopulated version without bridges.
It'd be a great holiday island because it has several resorts and lots of night spots.
@wendyyi1 I downloaded Izabo Atoll and installed it in my game, but it doesn't show up in the installed worlds files or in the main menu. I tried downloading and installing it a second time, in case the download was corrupted, but it didn't work then either.
@KatyFernlily That world isn't the kind of world I had in mind, but it is very pretty.
@GraceyManor I will download both of those and take a look at them.
I went to the thread regarding the download that @wendyyi1 cited and found out that there is something wrong with the save as button. It's an issue that has cropped up here and there with downloads on the exchange

I had that problem as well. I had to clean it with Custard to remove several included files that Custard marked as corrupt. After I did that, it installed just fine
@Rflong7 I had to think about that for a while. I guess what makes IP beautiful to me is the overall brightness, the color and texture of the default terrain paint, and the landscaping. Some other worlds have darker or duller terrain, which makes the whole world seem dreary, and I don't enjoy playing in them. I'd like to find a similarly bright and sunny tropical island world, preferably with only one main island, so my sims don't have to spend so much time traveling back and forth between islands on a daily basis.
The issues I'm referring to are just the known issues in IP. Yes, they can be fixed, but some of those fixes leave lots that aren't usable, which is a waste of space. Last time I played there, instead of moving households from houseboats into houses on land, I made the ports into houses on stilted foundations and placed the families in those. But that didn't fix the lag issues, because it's the terrain that's the issue, more than the houseboats themselves, so I had to start over, and move those households into houses on land. I'd like an island world that is usable in its entirety.
I have Sunlit Tides, which is pretty and bright, but it's not very useful for having a professional scuba diver or a lifeguard, or for having your sims live on a houseboat.
My sim family is on a holiday on the SimLau Isles by My Sim Realty. I had been looking for a nice tropical world too and gave this one a try. It has a bit of everything, but it is unpopulated and have some routing issues, and not the best for boats because of the bridges, but it has plenty of water and three (I think) diving spots. I wish it had the Sunlit Tides lighting. There is a fishing spot on the top of a high mountain, but you can't fish in the lake there. =d It's a nice world, though. I'm playing it as its own save for the convenience.
Bright seas, dark Tropical grass, 1 main island, at least 3 dive lots, ports for boats...
It isn't populated nor does it have the bright blue water. It has the colors of Roaring Heights.
@Rflong7 thanks for the idea. I just downloaded you Isle of Sims III.
Do you have any other recommendations?
I have a video series on the go (30 Grandchildren Badge Attempt).
In it there are 15 'children' who are to get married, move out and have 2 of the grandchildren each. Or at least that's the plan.
Since having such a huge household the mayhem made it impossible for me to organise any sort of romance between the now Young Adult aged children and their future spouse. I made the process into a game so it's taking a while to achieve.
In order to give each potential couple the chance to get to know each other before they decide if they will get married I'm sending them off on vacation.
So far 4 couple have had their vacation. They went to: 1. All 3 World Adventure Worlds; 2. Cornucopia by Shalua; 3. Isla Paradiso ( use the fixed version of that world by ellacharmed and I downloaded it from her Wordpress and I don't have problems with it although I haven't bothered to do much with the houses that need fixing and I kept all of the houseboats); 4. Oasis Landing Normal Future.
I have 11 more couples to send away on vacation. They live in the version of Cake Island that has houses but no population. I added a few of my own sims ( I have over 800 saved as Sims3Pack files) plus each of the children had/has an Imaginary Friend and I'm getting them to make their IFs real and kicking them out to add extra townies to the world. Each couple moves out to their own home when they return from vacation.
Maybe I'll try Isle of Sims III for the next couple. I haven't put it into the game yet but I am currently thinking of where I can send them.

Try the Add to Game button and see if that works for you for downloading "Izabo Atol (sp?)".
I tried both of your suggestions, but was unable to install Izabo Atoll. Trying to have it installed from the page on the exchange, I just got an error on downloading message. And although Custard found 4 corrupted files, I couldn't find any way to delete them with Custard. I tried the fix option, but it gave an exception error.

I laughed when I opened A Child's Paradise and saw the shapes of the islands. It's cute, but my sims might have to travel between islands even more than in IP. But I'm going to keep it anyway.
@Rflong7 I really like what you've done with Isle of Sims III. It's beautiful and has everything all in one island. And hidden islands too. I think it will be my preferred tropical island from now on.
@Satanu_Reeves Thank you for that recommendation. Sudavida is beautiful, but with only 15 houses, and none of them low cost enough to use as starters without cheating, it's not the best option for a home world. But I'm going to keep it too, and probably will use it sometime.

I have installed Sim Lau Islands before, but I didn't remember it as being a tropical island. I'll have to take another look.

Thank you all for your help. I think I'm all set now.

Always "River McIrish" ...and maybe some Bebe Hart. ~innocent expression~

Note: For anyone not familiar with Custard, it is available from MTS. https://modthesims.info/download.php?t=390235
Crinrict has a nice tutorial on how to use it. https://sims3.crinrict.com/en/2011/01/tutorial-delphys-custard.html
What do you consider beautiful about Island Paradise?
What problems are you having with IP?

Oh, You did. Thank you!
@Karritz Wow, that is a lot of kids.
There are so many Awesome world makers but I haven't kept up with them.
These are a few of my populated places-
I can suggest Christmas Village (this one doesn't use all the Store stuff). https://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=9352183
Haunted Valley would be fun for a Fall trip (only free store stuff). https://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=8442681
An stranded island vacation on Manave Isles (some store stuff). https://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=7974926
Isle of Sims III
and Legacy Island 111 when i am not playing in IP itself and want a little more IP diversity
Thank you for the suggestions. I've downloaded all 3 of them now.
