Oh yeah! People made some great Familiars in that thread! My Widderkin (and some others) are all up on the Gallery if you want to use any of them.
I'm getting Catarina prepared! Her great aunt Winnie has just died and left her a house, which she can keep so long as she takes on responsibility for Winnie's Widderkins. She also left her a strange stone, which Catarina discovered transported her to a strange world full of magic...
Here she asks L Faba what's going on.
Before going off in search of magical motes.
When the pack comes out, I will turn Catarina's inherited house into a haunted one. For now, the spirits are leaving her alone...
but the Widderkins are making their presence known lol
He looks comfy
I just had to keep little Batholomew as I believe he has a cat relative in another household (If I remember right), so I decided to have little Minnie to keep him company, just cos... cuteness
@LiELF you had so many gorgeous critters, I had a tough time narrowing it down! I chose 3 different Widderkins and little Minnie (thank you!)

Ooh. I'm loving what you've done with Catarina so far. Looking forward to hearing more about her adventures regarding the Mystical Arts. Assuming you share them of course.
I actually can't wait to share pictures of my Spellcaster household I'm working on. But I need to finish up some outfits and what not.

My 3rd generation of my spellcaster family have just grown into children. One of the second gen married a non spellcaster. They had twins, one magic (Victor) and one muggle (Deacon). When he aged into child, Victor rolled the loner trait. I think (according to his next traits) that I'm going to make him a little haunted house near the lighthouse in Brindleton Bay and let him live a quiet life as a paranormal investigator living all by his lonesome with only ghosts and maybe a pet. I think he'll like that. 😊
I posted this in another thread, but here are my four investigators, coming to check out the mysterious Autumnvale manor.
Violet Bellwood has experience dealing with ghosts. Her family traveled the country; her mother worked as a fortuneteller and her dad as an exorcist. She would contact ghost and get them to haunt people, so her mother could warn the people and recommend the dad for an exorcism. Compared to the rest of the group, she has the most knowledge about ghosts. But she's more interested in living in the house and becoming an eccentric reclusive painter.
Hazel Grimwood is from a nouveau riche, but obscure spellcaster family from Glimmberbrook. She abandoned her family's sophisticated ways, but she still has aspirations of striking it rich. She wants to fix up the house and live in luxury, making her own label of Juice.
Lyanna Bordeaux is the child of spellcasters, but she was born without magical abilities. Nevertheless, she has an interest in the occult and wants to speak with the ghosts. Her goal is to turn the house into a museum, acting as its curator.
Hunter Stellar is the son of one of the twins in my Snowy Escape playthrough. He's an accomplished spellcaster who wants to take over his father's restaurant one day. Having grown up poor, he's determined to buy the haunted house and fix it up. No ghosts will stop him from being a homeowner.
They're going to play through the pack's content. Once they're done, Hunter will buy the house and settle down with one or more of the women. (I'm looking at Violet or Hazel. Need help figuring out who to pick.) They'll end up living with ghosts and starting a long legacy of ghost-hunters.
For the record,I think Violet is a better fit for Hunter!
i'm not sure if i mentioned this earlier or not but i'm also making a "ghost buster"/paranormal investigator type group (that all also happen to be occults).
i'm not quite sure what all i'll have them do yet paranormal-wise, but i did decide that in their save the group was brought together by guidry in an attempt to continue his ghost hunting legacy. (they'll also probably live in a haunted house (with a basement/hq built similarly to the lab in strangerville).)

i figured out how to post photos, so here's an image of the group-
(indiviual/closeup images are also under the spoiler for those interested)
also semi-unrelated but i'm thinking of maybe getting them a pet/familiar as well; though i'm still not completely sure about it

Thanks! But, uh, I ended up pairing him with someone else, and now I want to make a story about them. Long-🐸🐸🐸🐸 essay ahead, for anyone who wants to read about it.
This is my sim from an Off-the-Grid Rags to Riches challenge. She's a mermaid. She woke up in Sulani as a teenager, finding herself on Mua Pel'am after her boat crashed.
Nalani ended up being her first friend. She would always call, and one time she even dropped off a present. Without her support, my sim probably wouldn't have made it.
I was doing some pre-Paranormal set-up for Hunter and decided to incorporate him into the mermaid story for a bit. My idea is that he was attacked by seafaring orcs while on vacation. He lost his hand in battle and was cast overboard. (Just ignore the robot arm for now. The robot arm represents the future prosthetic he gets.)
The mermaid came and saved him. Which wasn't their first meeting.
They actually met once before, when she went to the flea market in San Myshuno. He refused to give her a discount on a shelf, sparking some animosity between them. They'd both since forgot about this, though.
Unfortunately, Hunter couldn't get a signal on Mua Pel'am.
But she did let him stay until he could get a chance to go home.
To earn his keep, he'd comb for seashells, repair anything broken, and craft things at the woodworking table.
Because it was Love Day, I decided to make them go on a date. Figured I'd give them a romance and have them break up, so they could both have some romantic history before they find their true loves.
It was pretty funny, but the Sulani natives kept trying to butt in on their date. Guess they wanted to chaperone.
So I made them go to the beach to hang out, away from prying sims.
They ended up making a cute couple, so I'm thinking of keeping them together. Hunter will be the handyman and repair whatever objects ghosts break. The mermaid will be an actress. Their kids, which will be hybrids, will do the Paranormal Stuff Pack career.
The Sims 4 hasn't introduced a new musical instrument since 2017
My medium is gonna be Arashi Sin, she's great-granddaughter of Eli Sin and has the ancient bloodline trait. She also has both her parents and grandparents in her inventory, I'm hoping the medium skill has a way of pacifying ghosts cuz I don't want to release them but I seriously can't have four ghosts breaking everything in my house every night.
She'll probably also be the one to face Mirimata Sin, the overall villain in my storyline and her ancestor.
Well, for me it's more a long time plan in my decade challenge. Maybe I use Guidry as a imaginary friend at first, the build and cas items when it's the correct decade and when I'm arriving the 2000er+ one, someone is going to be a a mythbuster or ghosthunter-like simtuber.
I'm just getting my Strangerville quests out of the way for my four people living in a tiny house together and in the meantime preparing a renovated Haunted Barn they'll move into. It will obviously be altered when I get Paranormal Stuff. I'm interested in learning what Fear will do for them while they're in Strangerville.
One of them is a Spellcaster because I haven't played with my magic pack properly yet. She's also a techie.
One of them is a Covert Agent and one is a freelance writer, but I haven't been able to really develop them necause they're trying to save Strangerville.
Prepping a list of mods to add after Infants are placed into the game. Because real life isn't 'nice'.
I've not yet planned a story line in detail, but I have a rather poor and spooky household in my game, they are half occult ppl and half criminals. They have most of the "Day of the dead" stuff and is my only household with the complete scull collection. They also have two black cats and craft candles for a living. I thin k they have a tradition of medium skills for generations. Their daughter moved to a rented flat in San Myshuno, she had a daughter with an alien, and they lived a rather hidden life so far. I was thinking of her as a Clairvoyant so now she will be a Medium. Not sure if she will move to Forgotten Hollow or StrangerVille to sell her seances and other related services.
I also want to have a group of 4 teenagers go to Granite Falls for a weekend, and do a seance up there in a dark, rented cabin - or perhaps in the woods... I think the location might be good for an occult trip, just not sure yet who will go
My medium character is going to be Bridget Delacroix.
Bridget's mother Selene is a French-creole spellcaster specialising in untamed magic and voodoo, and has passed on her spellcaster bloodline to Bridget.
As Selene was going into labour with Bridget, she found her husband Sam making out with a mermaid. Sam didn't realise he'd been caught out, and after giving birth, Selene manipulated the mermaid into drowning him using Siren's Call.
Bridget was raised largely by her mother (and is still a toddler in my game), but with the help of her mother's Necrocall spell, also got to know her father as a ghost. She has inherited the ability to commune with island spirits from her father and will grow up with the ability to see and commune with all types of spirits.
Though Bridget has no magical aptitude for learning spells or potions, she still holds a Glimmerstone which she can use to escape perilous situations.
I'd upload an image but I haven't figured out how yet lol
I'm going to create a new family, once my dad has fixed my laptop by getting half of my broken charger out of the charging point on it with his soldering iron. So I don't get to play the pack until the day after which is when my new charger arrives. So far I have no idea what the family is going to look like but I may start brain storming soon.
This is Odelle Laveau
Voodoo Queen, Coven Leader and Expert in all things supernatural.
naturally she will take up the medium skill too
(I am not sure yet if I'll make her home haunted...maybe, maybe not...)
anyway, since she has become a max ranked spellcaster it is her duty to mentor a lower ranked witch
that witch happens to be:
Agnes Valravn....
Agnes is...well, she's Agnes
due to Agnes'...umm..."complicated" mental state Odelle will tell her to get treatment before her training can continue.
So Agnes will become a patient at The Asylum.
unfortunately there will be more than just troubled minds roaming The Asylum at night and it will be up to Agnes and the other patients to solve the mysterious goings on.
Here are my two Sims that I'm going to use on my Paranormal Stuff gameplay. These two are new Sims that I created today. Of course I'm going to use the new clothes and maybe the hair styles from the pack. I'll use the house that they used in the live stream.
This is Harriet Walker. She's a writer, she's outgoing, creative and romantic.
This is Rene Fournier. He's a cook, he's an art lover, clumsy and cheerful.
Their back story is that they're high school friends. Rene has always had a crush on Harriet, but Harriet's taste in men is quite shallow. She's never been romantically interested of Rene, she prefers big, muscular and traditionally good looking men. Rene knows it and he's never revealed his feelings for Harriet.
Harriet inherits a house from her aunt. She can't afford to take care of the big house alone. She knows that Rene has been looking for an apartment and asks him if he wants to move in with her so they can share the expenses.
They don't know that the house is haunted. Rene loves art and painting is his hobby. He will be the one who is going to be the paranormal investigator. He will leave his cooking career as soon as he can start the new job.
I don't know what will happen later. Maybe Harriet starts seeing Rene differently when he will be the hero who will exorcise the ghosts.
I don't know if I will contunue playing with these Sims after I've done with the Paranormal Stuff. I will play on an existing save with them. If I decide not to continue with them I'll just leave them there, maybe my other Sims will befriend them.
At the moment I am setting the scene for a sim Guidry then my plan is to download the pack play out his life as a sim and then kill him off via a Murphy bed and then hence I get ghost Guidry. As for how my story pans out it will be interesting as I plan to have the ghost “she” as a sim for his love interest plus one of my goth sims whilst he is alive. I’m hoping he can gain medium skill and be a paranormal investigator without the haunted house lot and seeing his future ghost.
I got too impatient to wait for the pack, so I moved my sims into my haunted house. But I ended up getting ideas for a different story.
Hugh is a spellcaster-mermaid hybrid. He actually loves harassing and playing with all the ghosts that visit the lot. He's scared of them, but not scared enough to keep him from asking to be picked up and read to. So instead of having a story focus on his parents trying to live in a haunted house, I think I'll have him and his sisters become child mediums.
And here are some random shots of the house I wanted to share.
I already have a haunted house, haunted by my three playable ghosts Don Lothario, Diego Lobo and Gunther Munch. I recently sent them to Batuu and when they came back I redecorated their house to look abandoned and junky and spider infested, as though things went on there while they were gone. Now I'll be able to make it haunted also, and make my benign ghosts deal with the... other types.
I haven't done much with Gunther yet and I have a feeling he'll like Guidry.

I'm introducing paranormal shenanigans into my Spellcaster family, the Muniz family.
Id love the youngest kid Guinevere to pick up the medium skill. She's a teenager right now who is book smart but has zero friends outside her own family. I've always thought her to be the quiet 'weird' kid that everyone avoids at school, but a kid with a gift.
I can see Guinevere preferring the company of spirits more than actual sims. I'd love her to befriend Guidry, maybe flirt with him when shes older
The dad is a deadly spellcaster (mod) and I'm wondering if I can make more ghosts on the lot.
I think Bonehilda was Guidry's lovely second wife. She went to Selvadora and got cursed to become a skeleton and never came back... until Guidry found an aspiring young Medium and taught her to summon Bonehilda.

This is one of my spellcaster's Nicole having a future vision of a paranormal invasion.
The spellcasters preparing a potion of protection.
Nicole Attempting to convince Robin to bring back an old friend for help..by the name of Bonehilda.
Robin is uneasy about Nicole's request, especially doing this without the approval of the Supreme spellcastor but gives in.
