How do you . . .

Get your Sim to start knitting? I keep clicking on her, but get no option to knit. :(

You need to have the yarn bag or box in your Sim's inventory. I think you can also place them next to your Sim and click on them from there.

Do you have a yarn basket in your Sims inventory? First you have to buy it trough the buy mode and place it in your Sims inventory.
    Happy knitting :).

Put the yarn basket in your inventory and they will knit (you might need to start it by having her knit a beanie or whatever you choose).

Sometimes they don't know when to stop so you have to remove it from your inventory (I just drag it somewhere in the house). They may have fixed this issue, I haven't had a sim knit in a while :D

ETA: They don't need a rocking chair, if they wave their hand like they can't knit.....just have them sit on the couch and then click the bag in the inventory.

They can knit just about anywhere. Just not in a chair with slats in the back of it.

I thought 'slotted' chair was one attached to a table. Such as the dining tables when they are attached to the chairs around them.

You need the knitting box or bag in your sims personal inventory. They cannot knit in the chairs that fit under desks tables etc. But the rocking chair is a natural place to do it anyway :)
The Sims is NOT a game, it's a lifestyle choice.

    This is correct.

Thanks, I couldn't remember the proper term. Slats and slots are almost the same. :open_mouth:

Not a problem, some of the chairs do have slats and are slotted! I just wanted to make sure I wasn't misunderstanding.

Also, if your sim has the knitting basket in their inventory, if you click on a living chair/rocking chair/couch, it has the option to start knitting, too! (Sometimes easier than going to select the basket itself.)
