I think I was most disappointed to find out Lyndsey pushed this pack and not EA. Like why? There had to be SOME EA influence because honestly this is so random, and to theme it after a place most can’t even visit (Disney) is weird too....
I think she more just took one for the team by saying she pushed it. EA has a contract to create Star Wars content and place it in games, none of them can come right out and say “we did this because we had to” or “it seemed like a fun concept until Disney put loads of restrictions on us”. My guess is the costumes we got weren’t in our face enough to make Disney happy, so this thing happened. A stuff pack with a 100% set dressing world that cannot be altered from Disney’s vision and no new characters just costumes so that they cannot appear in blogs or videos doing adult mod stuff.
So I have watched a bunch of videos and re-watched the trailers and I can't see anything that is new in terms of game play? All of the animations are re-used, the light-saber fight it from get famous the chest opening is from jungle adventure. Am I missing something? Is anything truly new?
There are some new things, the light saber animations are new, the soldiers have a unique walkstyle, they even gave Rey a unique voice etc.
But as Carl said in his review, it gets old, really fast, because there is nothing to do on Batuu except doing missions, so you will just do these missions over and over.
The light saber animations look like the get famous sword fight to me, but if it is new that isn't enough game play. It looks terrible and when people start saying it reminds them of a point and click game you know it is bad.
Is it just me or is anybody else wishing that the plethora of SW threads were all condensed into just a few? I think there's 25 or more threads between DISCUSSION and PACK DISCUSSIONS devoted to this pack, is that really necessary? Or am I just overly beech'ing because I never wanted the pack?
I'm really super happy it's out, so hopefully the hype dies down soon.

At this point, I'm used to it happening on this forum. Every time a pack comes out, there are like a million different threads that follow. Most of which can be fused into one.
So...according to simgururomeo this is actually not a bug but someone who just gave Judith the mask... , the one who posted that tweet replied though and said that it's a glitch.
WOW. When LGR refuses to review pack, you know it’s BAD.
I really hope Maxis/EA is paying attention to this. The Sims is literally dying. I’d say their reputation is about at 0/100
I haven’t bought any packs this year, and don’t plans on buying any more of their packs unless some serious changes are made!
The pack came out today, and as far as I know, there was no livestream. O-O
It's been discussed a few pages back but I reckon that's because:
1/ There literally isn't enough content in this pack to cover a 1 hour livestream without giving away mission spoilers.
2/Having a livestream for this pack would expose the already apparent from the trailer flaws with this pack and affect sales.
3/ The livestreams are mainly for Sim fans and the fanbase has been VERY vocal about how much they hate this pack.

It's almost like you've played TS4 before. o:
Well I for one am absolutely shocked! The team said Journey to Baboo wouldn’t leak over into the real sims world, does this mean they lied to me?!

Nah. Says right here, "Nothing to worry about"---ergo, picture of alien Judith Ward must be fake.

I guess it could be the GameChanger who is making fun of it, it remains to be seen...
I was being sarcastic. XD
Shocker.
Ah, okay.
I will keep a watch on Answer HQ though, I wonder for example if the alien masks will show up on situational outfits.
Imagine throwing a nice wedding, and someone shows up with that mask. I don’t wanna get banned again... BUT WE ALL KNOW WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE
🐸🐸🐸🐸?
Well now I’m even more disappointed.
I'm so saaaad.
Same
Honestly, in that twitter thread, he did review it. Not in the fun way he normally does, but in the most scathing way possible.
Oh for sure. The fact that he refuses to review it is actually a review in itself. I appreciate his honesty.
I was in work when I saw this and nearly spat out my tea laughing. Is anyone really shocked by this?

No livestream. Either Mickey Mouse didn’t want them to have a livestream, or they were too embarrassed to show it
