We Should Have a Pack That Comes With Lots Larger Than 64x64

I would love it if E A came out with a pack that came with properties about double the size of the largest lot we can currently get in the Sims 4. I really want to make a huge Estate Mansion, with a large property for hiking trails and farm like activities. Of course, if the Farming Expansion Pack actually existed, we may have gotten bigger lots already. That or EA should add it to basegame, as another world like NewCrest, but with huge lots.

What do you guys think? Should EA give us larger lots?

Definitely. In TS2, I always built homes on the larger lot sizes, because I like surrounding houses with lots of trees and having them have big back yards. The smaller lot sizes, I always used for things like shops and restaurants, which don't make logical sense on larger lots (unless you're building a mall). TS4's smaller lots really cramp my building style, since I either have to build a smaller house to have some actual landscaping or sacrifice green space for more house. It's a pain.

I would love to have lots that were 100X100 only if it came with horses.

I would like it if they would make the lot sizes adjustable. Maybe 64x64 on default but we can make them smaller if we want and the game fills up the rest with some debug stuff. I personally prefer smaller lots to live in because I don‘t like how families (or party guests) are always so far apart from each other in mansions but I can see how people that like playing in mansions barely have any available lots to build and play on.

    I can't even fill a 64x64 lot. O.o

It will be pretty much necessary in a farming pack. In Appaloosa Plains in TS3, the lot I use is 20x40 and it is barely big enough. You can't really fit any horse training stuff in it. And Sunflower Shack isn't that big of a house, either.

Almost all Sims worlds are too small in my opinion.

I have this idea that they could make world that is just like one big island of a lot
and it reaches to the water on every side
and you could do absolutely whatever you want with that lot

but I doubt it will ever be a thing

as for size I too am struggling to fill up 64 already
but I do see how one or two mega lots would be cool for like building kingdoms or something

That's an amazing Idea, I really think EA should do something like that! I understand that some people cant fill up 64x64 lots, but there are a lot of simmers who enjoy creating massive castles and estates.

I just want to create a large house on a very large plot of land, but in the sims, that's pretty much impossible. after I had built my mansion on a 64x64 lot, there was literally only room for the pool that I wanted in the back yard, but I wanted to add more than that. I wanted a massive estate with horses (that the sims 4 doesn't have yet) a creek for fishing, and a wooded area with hiking trails.

Great idea for a carnival, themepark, or casino gamepack/EP.

I'm good with 64 x 64 being the max. I can put a lot of stuff on something that size.

I don't need bigger lots, just the opposite. I'd like to have a world with tiny lots for tiny houses. Current lots are too big for small starter houses. There are only few of them that are smaller than 20x20.

64 x 64 doesn't make sense. You will end up with a game with 3 lots and nothing more. What they need is world between S3 and S4 with 1 or 2 50 x 50 and the rest different sizes. Just a thought.

I don't know. In TS3, I used a 64x64 lot to make a horse complete with stables and training grounds. It was barely enough.

However, TS4 is a different type of game. If it ever got lots larger than 64x64, the team would have to compensate by making fewer lots than usual in order to handle the load. The game would end up with a world that has very little room for local Sims. Yet, the streets and venues would still be teeming with Sims that come from everywhere else.

I agree adjustable would be great, i've uploaded 1 or 2 Builds on Mod The Sims for The Sims 2 but i get pestered to use Lot Resizer when they know full well it could possibly corrupt my game, but in TS4 it should have been put in there from the start because not on all Builds do i want to put a lot more Landscaping to compensate we did enough of that in TS2 but it didn't always suit the Build type to do that... so... i wound up just having some emptiness around it because i couldn't make the Building bigger without needing to Landscape, TS2s Lots didn't have small enough ones.

I really, really want to say yes to bigger lots because, well, more is more! And I love to build. But honestly, I think the large buildings I've created on 64x64 lots don't perform that well in TS4.

Big houses take too much time for sims to walk around, and the sims end up hardly seeing each other. For business and community lots, the visitor numbers never really fill them properly and there's also problems with sims spending lots of time just walking around them.

My favourite lots I've made and play most have ended up being medium or small lots that I've managed to design well and include lots of stuff.

My major concern is not enough lots in each world. Still love 64x64 lots for some specific builds. At least one in each world would be good.
