Oh gosh... it’s so sad. You did get a good sense of the heart wrench she is feeling. I am excited and nervous to read more. I have a feeling you’re going to take me on an emotional rollercoaster!
You’re writing is really strong with this chapter. You got great depth on both the external forces and the character’s thoughts and feelings. Great work!
What’s random is I’m doing a sort of similar plot in my legacy. It takes place in Brindleton Bay too... 😲 I totally had forgotten that you were doing the Carrie story.
My story is about a spoiled rich girl that she runs away for an adventure and then ends up falling for and getting pregnant by a small town boy. 🤷🏻♀️ So the emotional strokes are different.
Brindleton Bay is such a beautiful world. And there's room in SimLit for many stories. My concept is nothing new for Carrie. I'm way behind on the advent of the runaway pregnant teen challenge.
Thank you for your kind words. I really worked hard to capture the mood and depth of Carrie's despair.
For anyone who follows my KCLKF story and/or likes Twinbrook and/or the Bayless family, I posted a little photo album and letters to Davis/David on my Simblr. It's got a tie-in to one of Davis's chapters.
You don't need to have read the story to enjoy the post. There aren't any major spoilers.
I've written a little "Side Tracks" for Lizzie and the family back home. It takes place around the same time as the last two chapters for Return to Brindleton Bay.
I've downloaded some new CC (default-replacement hairs and skin tones) so if you notice folks looking a smidge different, that's why. I think the hairstyles the game picked are fairly suiting.
ALSO: Bonus... a little short over on my Simblr - with Nora Green and @MINEZ's Julian DeBateau!
Hey everyone, I've got a little post about the naming and etymology of Simterra, the world where my Sims live. What inspired me to name the planet Simterra? Who named the planet? What other alien races/species have lived on or near Simterra and what do they call the planet? Learn all this and more over on my Simterra Tales blog + an exciting announcement regarding a "Submit Your Sims" scenario! If you want to know...
Hello everyone, I've got a Casting Call!!! I am accepting "travelers" for my new adventure story series on my newest Simterra Tales blog.
Travel the right way… in style through the world of Simterra and the beloved home of my Sims.
You can choose from 3 options for a traveling adventure with 1 of 3 of my lovely Sim tour guides on Simterra, the home planet for my Sims stories. Learn more over on the blog and complete your travel questionnaire on these forums to book your trip today!
The Krazy Crazy Life of Kassiopeia Fullbright returns today after a long hiatus. Thanks for your patience. I'm happy to be back to one of my very first stories, and one of my favorites. If you've never read before, you can find the table of contents here. I've broken it up into "arcs" to make it hopefully less intimidating. If you like slice of life, mystery, adventure, and some fantasy thrown in for kicks, you might like it.
Two more chapters for The Krazy Crazy Life of Kassiopeia Fullbright. My plan is always a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday schedule with this story, but we'll see. It worked this week.
in which, Kass learns Jazzilyn's real identity... but what does it mean? 1.115 What Comes Down
Also... this week I'm over on my Simblr sharing makeovers of certain Sim families from LASL. The Bacon family (@Munterbacon & Karleen Corey's daughters) are up first! Feel free to check it out and I'd appreciate the follow over there. https://livinasimminlife.tumblr.com/
I'll be making over the Rikira family next - Akira Kibo's and @simscognito's fam.
Also, I'll be posting aesthetics/profiles for the characters as I'm prepping for Gen 2.
Hello friends, one new chapter for KCLKF this week. Somehow today's post didn't publish so it'll come out tomorrow instead.
1.120, Pt. 1: Undone
...in which Kass meets Gage at a beach party and things go awry!
Also on the LASL front... Maple Bacon Aesthetic and profile over on Simblr. Maple will feature prominently in Generation 2's story. I've always thought aesthetics were cool and thought I'd do a few for main or even side characters. I'll be doing one for each of the Bacon sisters this week. Plus you can get to know Maple a bit more.
I really like how these aesthetic profiles are done. I've been thinking about doing something similar for another project I've thought of. I was thinking about making some female sims based off the crystals you can collect in the game. I also assigned a month to several of them. (Knowing how good you are at world-building, I'm sure you've already got a version of this in your universe!)
January - Alabaster
February - Amethyst
March - Hematite
April - Diamond
May - Emerald
June - Alexandrite
July - Turquoise
August - Orange Topaz
September - Sapphire
October - Fire Opal
November - Citrine
December - Ruby
Thanks so much for sharing these little things. I love seeing how you build your world and the effort you put into each sim.

Thank you! What a cool idea, @15aewar. I'd love to see your Sim creations.
I have a calendar for the year for my Simterra (which includes a 13th month) but I don't have stones/gems assigned to them yet. I was focused on star signs/zodiac signs actually.
I love Apple and Savorie! I've borrowed your idea of looking at objects for inspiration. It really helps when picking out outfits!
I've got two sims done - Alabaster (January) and Hematite (March). Thank you so much for the inspiration. Now to make a similar profile for each of them!

They are gorgeous Sims, @15aewar! Yes, I agree. I find randomizing packs and using objects help define their personalities/appearance.
Is Contessa Straud related to Vladislaus Straud?? I especially love Hematite's eyes.
