      If I'm not feeling creative I like to find lists of most popular names.
      Then I ask Google for a random number and choose the corresponding name from the list.

      From the list above, if I get the number 10 then the sim will be called Charles or Donna.

      Sometimes I just hit "random" until a name shows up I like. I try to use names not already in the game.

      I like to do a theme for a game save. In my current save any babies born to the heir in my game get Doctor Who themed names.

      off the top of my head, here are some favorites that i've used!

      boy: malachi, eli, milo, mischa

      girl: city, violet, meredith, harper
      still using fabric softener

      I think about names a lot, so I pulled some from my collection.

      Classy:
      F: Jessica, Emma, Beatrice, Lilith, Tabitha, Astrid, Aria, Cordelia, Donatella, Patience, Cherie
      M: Cyrus, Carson, Barnaby, Kennedy

      Cute:
      F: Skye, Bailey, Corky, Melody, River, Belinda, Lacey, Robin, Harmony, Bijou, Kamala (from an Arabic word meaning "perfect." Also Finnish for "horrible," but you can ignore that.)
      M: Diego, Micah, Shoelace, Salem

      Cool:
      F: Hilda, Gwen, Hope, Lyric, Elena, Yuzu, Ebony, Dementia (not something you'd want to name your kid, but it sounds pretty), Madonna, Inanna, Indira
      M: Apollo, Beowulf, Beck, Chase, Django, Heath, Yuya

      Haha. So far I've used Jack, Rose, Donna, and Martha in my current save. Donna is a toddler right now, but when she ages up she'll be the heir and she's going to have four sons: Peter, Matt, David, and Christopher.

      Not to be pragmatic, but most bookstores have books full of names for the benefit of prospective parents. Would probably be available online as well.

      lily - girl
      molly - girl
      chandler - girl
      abbey - girl
      frankie - boy
      ripley - girl
      paris - boy
      georgina - girl
      ava - girl
      finn - boy

      obviously you don't have to use the name for the same sex i did - just some ideas!
