I was astonished to see this, only yesterday. I don't often do much with plants, as my sorry builds can attest, landscaping isn't my thing, sadly. But, I do like the look of the ever-so-dangerous plants from StrangerVille. I was wondering, would I put a whole 'town' in jeopardy, should I plant a few of these around my Sims' house?
Am I begging for trouble?
Please and thank you, in advance.

Thank you so much for the response. I think I may need more assurance than that. LOL I've already been through the Mill with my Global Superstar, too much involved to go into it. Suffice it to say my game save (actually, the Sim himself) was corrupted and I had to restart. I don't wish to replay it all over again. If there's any threat planting (or placing) one of these rather exotic plants I won't do it. I suppose I could create a backup and give it a try …

you can plant the bizarre fruit in lots (and off lots, even) to have them grow into the actual plants, but like simberella mentioned, they won't go past the first stage, since need stuff from the story to continue their evolution
i've got several of them in various builds, now. mostly the 'sculpture' ones, and mostly either in lab settings (for various alien households or the science lab from get to work), though there is a dug up area of ted roswell's (enlarged) basement-turned-vault that has some of the plants growing in it so he can harvest the fruit to give to other sims (sure they're sculptures, but that's my validation for constantly buying more bizarre fruit for him when i have him go out to infect more sims)
