So the first place my mind went was not only being able to knit, but being able to knit things for baby Sims and have them be usable, so they could finally have a different look. Sweaters, hats, booties, etc. Thinking of a pregnant sim knitting for her little one makes me go awww 🥰 Knitting blankets would be fun, too, or scarves. I think the thing I'd really want to see with this hobby is whatever your sim creates is actually usable by them too.
Also, in addition to hobbies, I would to see the return of more clubs/after school activities. Swim class, ballet, karate, something akin to 4H or FFA, chess club, cultural appreciation club. Honestly, there are so many options!
I would be happy to see pretty much all of these, especially if they were in a pack like Free Time!
Crafting an Object (Jewelry, Glassblowing, Candle Making, Pottery)
I would like to see the crafting table expanded, that is more items. Also being able to sculp, build with more mediums such as stone, granite, clay, metal.
Outdoors related (Metal Detecting, Bird Watching, Kite Flying)
I would love more stuff for my sims to do outside. I would also love more nerdy things for my sims to do like maybe make a sims a larper and have sims randomly dressed as Darth Vader jumping on jungle gym equipment and waving glowing sticks at each other and just tripping all over the place. Of course they could also do more normal things like fly a kite, play hop scotch, skipping stones on the lake. It's the little things really. You have no idea how happy the swings in Season made me.
Body related (Soccer/Football, Ballet, Martial Arts)
I loved Martial Arts and Ballet in 3, my Sims' kids were always getting into something, lol. I didn't realize until seeing this post just how many options for hobbies and games we had in 2. Imagine if we received a new hobby with each release or patch, then everyone could have a feature they wanted... but wishful thinking never really gets anyone anywhere, imo. I picked body, though, because I feel it was the best of both if you had an active or fitness oriented sim and wanted some new animations but didn't want to simply work out all the time (IIRC, Martial Arts also raised the fitness skill). Crafting was a close second. My mom and I are pretty creative people, she used to watch me play sometimes, but we can't always accomplish what we set out to do for various reasons in RL, so that was the next best thing for us at least.
I would love for gaming other than just video gaming like Warhammer 40k or Necromunda, or another miniatures tabletop game, card games like Vanguard and Magic, RPGs like D&D or Vampire The Gathering. You can have an added skill of painting miniatures and model building. Can you build a Gundam Master Class Model and paint it up to look like somebody shrunk it and put it on their table. I know plenty of gamers in the gaming community who will tell you that you cannot be a real gamer if all you play is video games? I would disagree it's simply a different kind of gaming in my opinion. I would love to see an animal hobby like horseback riding. I would love to see vehicles. I would love to see different dances. I would love to see things like Anthropology. I would love to see martial arts. I would love to see knitting and crocheting. In truth, I would love to see all of these hobbies as an option.
Playtesting - not just tabletop games and card games any more. Really that should have been playtested in Beta and not

In my current save, I've been using the woodworking table extensively to craft objects for my Sims, as opposed to buying them from the catalogue. Once you reach a higher level, you can craft violins and guitars for your Sims - I never realised that was possible! It would be great to see this expanded on in a later pack/update.
oh wow!!! I didn't know i could make my own violin!!!! that is awesome!!!! btw my Sim loves her violin but to make one herself...wow
Honestly it never really crossed my mind until I saw this poll, but the idea of having a sewing/knitting hobby is really neat. It would be interesting if you could unlock different wardrobe items in CAS as you level up the skill.
Same here that would be cool and maybe sew clothes and blankets ( on a sewing machine), plus ugly sweaters for Christmas
I've never been able to knit in my rl, so it would be cool to see a Sim do it. Plus, maybe seeing if we could pick the color of what the Sim is knitting would be cool
Crafting an Object (Jewelry, Glassblowing, Candle Making, Pottery)
It was a tough decision, but I ended up with choosing "crafting an object" as I loved glass blowing in TS3. It added new jewelry. More jewelry is always welcome.
But soccer, ballet, nectar making, canning and poker are missing features I'd like to see make a return as well. That makes me think a Store (Live Service) might have been a better option than stuff packs...
I'd love to see a singing career in game, EA! You can't let the singing skill go to waste! My TS4 EPs: GTW, GT, CL, C&D, S, GF, IL, DU, EL, SE, CoL, HSY, GrT, HR, FR GPs: OR, SD, DO, V, P, JA, SV, RoM, DHD, MWS
Body related (Soccer/Football, Ballet, Martial Arts)
I chose the body stuff because it would be ace if it could be for kids too. Like an afterschool club where they got to Ballet for example. Also the food stuff sounds really interesting too and I would like that to be added. Perfect for older sims who have next to no content for them tbh.
Gaming related (Tabletop, Billiards, Poker/Gambling)
Tough one for me. Gambling and nectar are two I really do miss.
I never really got into many of the hobbies introduced in TS2 freetime like ballet, sewing or pottery. Though the few little sports things and restoring the car was pretty awesome

Very cool, but if in CAS we can filter the outfits. At this moment I can't realize which are the outfits that are unlocked with Carrers progression.
I want them all tbh Imagine all the potential Sims 4 would have if we could have them all. But If I wanna pick one it would be body related especially swimming! I'm fed up watching my sim swim awkwardly like they always do. I want to see them swimming underwater and as a specific skill. Each level would allow them to swim another style and would improve their breath holding capacity. As we go on this, please bring back scuba diving again and surf but this time in the ocean!

That was an awesome question. I picked gaming and a casino would be cool.

ETA: athletic stuff would be #2. It’s sad we are 5 years in and only have 1 athletic skill, 1 athletic career, and 1 athletic aspiration.
The Sims Game

The swimming skill sounds awesome!
I play in a band by myself so this is what I really want to have in my game..
But also, I want sports and clothing related hobbies also sound great!
