This challenge is designed to be story-based, meaning how each Generation comes to fit into their supernatural role will depend entirely on the player. Did the Sim make a pact with a Witch or Demon? Or did their parent’s actions play a role in their fate?
The rules for this will be fairly loose, reflecting the typical Legacy Challenge rules with specific goals for each Generation. Heir Aspirations and Traits will be mostly up to Player choice, though some Gens will have specific options to choose from. There are ten Generations total.
Expansions & Other Packs
Most generations have rules requiring the use of specific expansions or game-packs. Please feel free to overlook or change any rules to suit what packs you own!
General Rules
There really are no general rules. Feel free to incorporate other rules from the main
Legacy Challenge or any others you favor.
Notes
- Even though pretty much all of these “beings” do not yet exist in-game, there is plenty of Custom Content out there to enhance the challenge. Even without CC this can be done with basic EA items; it’s the imagination and story that brings them to life!
- While you’re welcome to make these creatures immortal, I am going under the assumption that they are not. Vampires are the exception to this.
- This challenge is more than open for more ideas or adjustments!

Comments
Immortal, powerful, and often terrifying, stories of Vampires have existed for millenia, across countless cultures. Perhaps you were born into a family of old Vampires and now seek to begin your own legacy? Or perhaps you have always been interested in the myths and seek out these dark creatures on your own?
Founder:
- Spouse may or may not be turned into a Vampire.

Career:- Player choice
Optional:You have been raised in the most unconventional of families, so naturally you would have the most unconventional of interests. The occult has always called to you, ever since you were a young child. Perhaps you discovered a grimoire in your parent’s library of Vampiric tomes, or perhaps you actively sought out such a book for yourself? No matter the case, you have chosen to live your life honing your witchcraft - but what sort of witch will you be?
Heir/Heiress:
- May be a Vampire or Human
- May not be an Alien
- With Realm of Magic Vampires cannot be made into Spellcasters (as far as I'm aware). Therefore if your heir is a Vampire, you may follow the rules below and exclude the RoM specific options.
Alignment: The Witch or Warlock must have a single alignment which will determine the type of Sim they end up becoming. This choice will determine specific traits and Spell focus. Alignment is player choice.- Good: Practical Magic is your focus. May also delve into Mischief spells, so long as they harm no one.
- Evil: Untamed Magic is your focus. May also delve into Mischief spells.
- Neutral: All three or a mixture. You prefer to keep a healthy balance.
Note: A Sim may learn any spell even if it goes against their alignment. They simply should refrain from using those spells.Aspiration:

Your parent(s) should have expected that their hand in magic would have some effect on their children. You, for better or for worse, were born under a full moon - and have acquired certain… canine traits over the years. But even though you’re hairier than the rest of your family and sometimes get the urge to mark your territory, you won’t let it get you down! How could you, when you’re such a good wolfy?

Optional:Growing up your family was close-knit, doing almost everything together. In some ways it was nice, but you never quite felt like you belonged in their pack. After reaching a certain age, you discovered that you have very… different urges than the rest of your family. Perhaps you were simply born an incubus/succubus, or perhaps you’ve met one before and sold your soul to become one as well. All you know is that you hunger, and there’s only one way to sate your appetite…
Heir/Heiress:
- Can be a Vampire (to steal energy from victims)
- Cannot be an Alien
- If male, have all offspring moved onto lot (you may want to play the lover’s households long enough to check for pregnancies!)
Aspiration:- Serial Romantic

- Never have a child with the same lover twice (twins/triplets/etc are an exception)
- Do not allow any lover to move into the legacy household

Career:You only ever knew one of your parents… It is clear, though, that one of their many lovers must have been fae, for there is no better way to describe you. The wings that started sprouting at a young age were a dead give-away…

- Purchase or collect every type of Gnome for your garden (this includes holiday Gnomes from Seasons!)
- Be good friends with your children - Optional: lose friendship once kids grow into teens.
- If Klepto Trait: try to steal something from every venue/house you visit
- if Mischief Trait: play pranks everywhere you go!
- Optional: Change appearance often or with every lifestage (new hairstyle, haircolor, eyes, etc)

Career:As a child, your household was full of whimsy and wonder, so it’s no surprise that you feel in your heart a sense of magic as well. You never grew wings like some of your siblings, nor the ability to change your appearance on a whim… But you have an intimate fondness for the ocean and you can sing more beautifully than any of them. Your voice has a way of mesmerizing all who stop a while to listen…

- Downgrade! Live in a small cottage and decorate the lot to look like the woods. You don’t want to be around anyone.
- Never marry or keep a relationship.
- Have one child. Twins/Triplets are an exception, but no more after that.
- Survive with your own two hands: live off the land, build your own furniture, knit, make things – You never want to go into society, so it’s up to you to acquire everything you need!
- Study Herbalism and take trips to Granite Falls often (if you have the pack). Make your own mixtures. Can also study and make potions
- Optional: - Make lot Off the Grid
