Wow, what a week of Simming.
I am really behind on reporting the happenings with my sims. I probably should have used other sims than the ones that are currently toddler, children, and teens in my Ms. Peregrine save, but I probably would have been bored with them.
I guess I will switch back once Meadow becomes a 5 star celebrity.
I don't know if I will have them pursue the same careers as they have in the Get Famous test drive.
I really like Get Famous.
I like the take on celebrity/fame game play. My dance club and cosplayers cybercafe have benefited greatly from the new content.
I wish I felt as strongly for the new world of Del Sol Valley, but I can live with the lack of lots. I will try to post pics tomorrow.
[Update]
I was wondering if I should leave posting about these sims should remain out of this thread.
They are actually still toddlers, children, and teens in my main save.
I have been posting in the Expansion pack forum, but I think I will bring those posting here.
Eventually that thread will die and be buried.
I haven't posted in quite a while.
Get Famous was fun initially--new things to do and such, but I think I've run out of steam with it.
I don't think celebrities make enough money. I guess I will just cheat them the money I feel they should make in future play.
I haven't posted anything because these sims are the young adult version of the sims who are currently toddlers, children, and teens in my main save. Since the get famous patch completely borked CC hair, I started a new game to explore the new expansion. I decided not to post any of it since these same sims will be playing out their lives eventually and I don't want to confuse or spoil future play.
I have also been playing a space simulation/sandbox. Like the Sims 4, this game released light on features, and while fun initially, I have hit the boredom wall. Time to put it away until they add more content.
As for right now, I have given up CC hair and I am repairing all the borked sims who are currently bald.
I am sensing that I will slide right back into the flow of things as I have really missed these sims.
Hopefully the next Game Pack will be announced by the time I have updated everything and have advanced my sims to the next milestone.
Really great to hear from you. I am kept busy with my vampires having vamp babies, 4 born vampires is all I need to fill up FH and then it will be theirs. I'm excited because it's the first time I've made it to 3rd gen in Sims 4. I only ever made it to 3rd generation in Sims 3.
Keeping my fingers crossed for witches pack.
In my house, dog hair sticks to everything but the dog.

Keeping my fingers crossed for witches pack.
You're taking over Forgotten Hollow?
Playing past a first generation seems so far away for me.
No one is having babies until I get University .
This morning was edit-the-town day for me.
Miss Peregrine's world now has an updated Del Sol Valley.
I also fixed all those bald sims.
At first I started editing them, but it became tedious.
So I started deleting every sim with a bald head.
Let the game generate more.
Yup, Vald died from the lint catching fire in his dryer and he died...surprised me. Anyway, Caleb and Lilith are the head honchos in FH now...Caleb has a toddler with one of his minions, Isaac and Lilith has 3 kids, 1 single and twins. Anyone walking through FH will take his plasms in his own hands.
You made me laugh at fixing all the baldies...I see you have found the logical way to fix them.
In my house, dog hair sticks to everything but the dog.
This one completely surprised me.
I was beginning to wonder if Game Packs had been discontinued. If we were getting one, I thought it would be Witches.
I didn't expect this... whatever it is.
Everyone is probably way ahead of me.
All I know that this one is story driven and it seems some creature has mind control over the town.
And there is the Military career, the main reason why I am buying this pack. That really should have come with the base game.
Better late than never, and I am gearing up to play an old TS3 scenario that I never finished in TS3.
I am rolling aliens into this scenario. So, that means I have to build a version of a favorite TS3 lot.
I am not playing in Miss Perrigrine's save. This is the same save from my Get Famous play.
First problem.
Strangerville is tiny like Del Sol Valley.
I had to kick that Cahill fellow off his lot. I relocated it here.
I really needed a 50 x 50 lot, but a made do with the only 50 x 40 lot in the town.
This is my alien compound.
It's a little too close to the town for my liking.
I wish it was across the river and more isolated.
It's more detailed in this shot.
I was beginning to really enjoy building this lot.
The pack seems a bit light on content to me, but I love the security door.
I think the cameras came with Get To Work:
Actually my alien compound isn't going to be an alien compound for a bit yet.
Right now it's a temporary posh barrack for high potential personnel. The aliens will arrive later.
Gosh, let's finish this place up.
I'm itching to play.
I love those rocks.
I can't believe I have never used them until now.
Kitchen
This wing is supposed to be the electronic entertainment/work side.
The other is supposed to be more of a lounge.
The best living spaces are on the upper level.
Good enough.
Any further refinement will happen while I am playing this pack.
I really miss spiral staircases.
I don't like those stairs taking up so much space.
Now for the hard part.
Dana Scully.
Thanks to Bshag4lv, I was inspired to inject some X-Files into my Stranger Things.
Her eyes, nose, and mouth are where they should be, but she doesn't look like Dana to me. Something is off about the cheek bones.
Also I wish there was a version of this hair without bangs. It's close, but Dana's forehead is usually uncovered from hair.
Good enough!
I want to play!
Dana is the first to arrive, but others will be arriving soon.
I am going to save the household once I have everyone in at the career levels they need to be.
I plan on using them as background characters to add to the story line if I play through the story again with new sims.
for now game play is going to be quite boring as I add sims and play them in the military and science careers.
Dana will be military though, since that is how she will become a covert operative.
I think the glasses help.
I see a little Scully in here.
I am dreading trying to make Fox Mulder though.
Basic game play.
Skilling for work work.
I won't be around much as I am avoiding the forums to avoid spoilers.
I feel like I can guess how this all will go though. I think EA gave too much away with the trailer.
I love it, the facility probably rivals EA's. Your Dana Scully looks pretty good, better than I could do. I'm really looking forward to updates now.
I thought the pack was going to be witches too. Although I was initially disappointed and thought to actually skip this one but then I watched the trailer, it always gets me anyway. I think the residents look hilarious! The military career, the return of SimFu, one of the favs from Sims 3 WA and laptops, yay. Lol, I never even played Strangetown in Sims 3.
In my house, dog hair sticks to everything but the dog.
Dana is a bookworm, so she starts her morning with some light reading.
Her first day serving in the military starts tomorrow, so she is out for a jog for her daily activity.
Strange.
That's an odd plant:
Never mind the fancy cabbage, lets collect a crystal.
Those campers make for some nice props.
I think I could really use them for a trailer park I have in Del Sol Valley.
Stranger still.
So this is Jess.
"Hello? Are you alright."
!!!
Okay. We will just leave her alone for now.
We have plenty of time before we dig into any mysteries.
Judith Ward, are you taking a break from Del Sol Valley and SimmyWood?
There goes Jess.
The military trucks are a nice touch.
I like this town, I just wish there were more lots.
I don't want to knock down a house to put in a bowling alley.
The rest of the townies seem normal.
So this is the library?
A bookworm can't resist a visit.
A scientist hot spot--Dana just found her hangout.
I believe this is one of the town's VIPs.
I think it would be a good idea to have him in the relationship panel.
This is also an opportune moment for Dana to start her logic skill.
What's wrong?
You don't like probing questions?
Another one.
Something tells me that EA is trolling us who dislike that maniacal grin that happy TS4 sims have.
I believe Dana enjoyed that game.
Moving on.
Well that's a low key bar.
That's the best kind!
In we go!
She's hungry, so she might as well eat here.
There are some familiar faces in this place.
More military personal, that's good.
This isn't the kind of place she would hangout, but I can see Dana visiting once in awhile with the rest of the household.
She will get to know them later.
It's Erwin!
I didn't know he actually ran the curio shop. That's great.
Dana will pick up a few things.
I bet Erwin is brimming with conspiracy theories about the secure compound behind his shop.
You know I have to enter the compound in first person view at least once.
That was a nice little tour of the town.
I wish there was at least 15 lots to the place. There are two lots near the town square that are screaming to be community lots, but I don't want to delete anymore homes.
Dana is going to finish off that second logic point before bed.
I only experimented with Strangetown once in TS2. It was weird.
I am glad we have the military career finally.
This going really slow for me since I am not going to be triggering any of the real game play until I advance Dana and Fox.
It's really all about the military and science careers for the moment. I did have some hysterical moments though, but it will be a few posts before I get to them. I have a backlog of pictures to post.
Thea Nyx had been waiting in CAS for something to do.
She's not a vampire. She just looked cute doing the creepy walk, so I took a picture.
Thea is another Military cadet.
Lionel Santos is a scientist.
Hopefully the two of them will make life a little more interesting around here.
Let's make their careers official.
They arrived late, so there is nothing else to do but go to bed.
Dana awakes to new arrivals to the compound.
Although she will probably miss the peace and quiet, Dana is sad because she missed playing the lottery.
Maybe she had a winning number that she didn't play.
Thea gives her an autonomous salute.
I am glad for that.
It makes them feel like they are in the military.
However, I am annoyed that a sim will grab leftover salad instead of a fresh and hot breakfast sitting out for them.
Dana is on her way to work.
Thea and Lionel have a couple of days before they have to go.
They can use this time to get get to know one another.
They also have to work on those job requirements.
Lionel's lab will eventually be filled with science equipment.
"What the heck is that, and why is it here?"
I'm glad to see the sparring bot.
Now sims have martial arts.
And they get some sort of performance feedback.
Ow!
Fails are back too.
[Translation]
You suck!
I know where to find Lionel now.
Dana Scully is back, much happier than when she left.
Thea has the Pleasure aspiration.
I was excited when I first saw it in the game, but then I realized that it was a mod, not something new.
Anyway, she wanted to buy a hot tub. She's in the hot desert, but maybe I can pretend they like to hot-tub on chilly desert nights.
Dana finally returns that salute back to Thea.
I hope sparring participation at the higher levels goes deeper than just watching another sim work out.
Did Thea just pull a Shoryuken? Sho-ryuuu-ken!
Ow!
Fox Mulder in the game!
[Sigh]
And he looks nothing like him.
Are there more of those weird plants now?
And they look bigger further out.
I think it's time for some conspiracy theories.
I discovered Dana can march now.
It looks a bit silly for one sim alone.
It should be a group activity.
Ted Roswell too?
I am really tempted to cheat all my sims to higher ranks so I can get on with this story.
I might as well stretch it out though. Something tells me this experience is going to be really short.
Fox discovered Erwin's conspiracy nick-knack stall.
I believe these two will become good friends.
Hold on here!
Mulder must investigate.
Such odd behavior.
Is she a lunatic?
Yes she is!
Snap out of it!
I'm glad I noticed this interaction.
Wow...
She's actually kind of cute when she isn't acting plum-crazy.
She's also a Goofball.
Leslie Holland..., Mulder will be looking for you in the future.
He will also be sporting a subtle makeover a few installments later on, because the original wasn't selling it for me.
I like your Mulder a lot - pretty good! He maybe needs a cleft chin but I don't think we have those in CAS, do we? And you surely can't be shipping anyone other than Scully and Mulder?! Leslie who? Pfft!
I like your Mulder a lot - pretty good! He maybe needs a cleft chin but I don't think we have those in CAS, do we? And you surely can't be shipping anyone other than Scully and Mulder?! Leslie who? Pfft!
Perhaps later, Scully and Mulder just met.
They have to get to work as a team first.
Mulder needs a spark for this mystery anyway.
Leslie is the spark.
Love the update and you are right. My sister has played through already so I want to take my time in doing this great scenerio. It took her one afternoon, but she loved it. I've seen spoilers and yes, I will definitely take my time.
Love the possessed sims, very funny!
David Ducoveny is a hard one to reproduce in CAS. Don't forget the lower bottom lip sticks out.
Edit to say, I see the bottom lip now...good job.
In my house, dog hair sticks to everything but the dog.
I am so tempted to simply cheat everyone up to the career levels I want them to be before I dive into this Strangerville mystery, but I am sticking to my guns.
Lionel makes for a nice break from the military careers.
It's been a while since I played the scientist career.
I have a hard time buying this as a science lab.
It looks like an industrial plant.
I am not sure what role Lionel will play in this story, but I will be on the lookout for opportunities.
I alternate between letting them go off to the rabbit hole and working at home:
Which often includes nap time.
I am also giving then other activities besides working, eating, and sleeping.
Bowling...
I think my Pleasure Sim would like to get out of the compound.
Better yet, how about getting out of town?
Bowling in Willow Creek! And it's raining.
Better change those clothes.
I've only had my sims bowl a couple of times.
This outing is actually just and excuse for Fox to get to know Leslie.
As well as do some flirting.
Dana Scully is a bit of a fifth wheel at the moment.
Lionel has an awkward form.
Who cares about form when you are bowling STRIKES!
His elation falls to tension.
Lionel has the paranoid trait. He thinks Fox and Leslie are whispering about him.
It's not all about you, Lionel.
Show Lionel you have the right stuff, Thea.
That was the wrong stuff.
Sadness.
Fireball!
Where is he getting this skill?
It was a nice outing, but it had to end.
You are such a free-spirit, Thea.
Lilith does not find joy in the rain.
I swear there are more of those plants out there.
Why are you saluting him?
Lionel wanted to watch the stars with Thea.
I do believe that the Theonel ship will set sails eventually.
We are in Oasis Springs because Leslie called up Mulder and invited him out. "There is a talent showcase happening at a popular lounge. How about we go out and make fools of ourselves?"
Or something like that.
Why not?
Upon arrival, Meadow Thayer is the center of attention, being the Global Superstar that she is.
Aww, Melonie (stars tank top) and Monique (pink blazer) are here too.
I have never been to this lounge.
Mulder abandons Leslie temporarily as he is starstruck by Meadow Thayer:
The only interaction he could get with her was a pose for a selfie.
Mulder and Leslie spent their time eating and socializing.
I don't remember any talent being showcased. By the end of the day things became quite flirty.
Mulder got a whim to woohoo.
Not with anyone specific, but being as Leslie was the motivation, it was decided to bring this outing home.
It's time to be less Mulder and more Fox.
He took her to the little living space outside his bedroom to make that first move.
And that first kiss.
Which they had to get out of the love seat to perform.
???
What's wrong?
You have a tummy ache?
Oh no, not again.
"€ΜβŘΔĆ€ ŦĦ€ ΜØŦĦ€Ř.
ŞĦ€ ŴƗŁŁ βŘƗŇǤ ¥ØỮ Ƥ€ΔĆ€."
Snap out of it!
Ok, that was mood killing creepy.
But that woohoo whim isn't going away.
We must soldier on.
That's quite the... colorful... underwear you have there, Leslie.
???
Thea...?
You were in the bathroom the whole time?
Yes you were!
It wasn't what you saw, but what you heard.
It makes for an awkward breakfast the next morning.
Things are moving a bit fast in Scully's opinion.
Cool!
They can spar together now.
I was afraid that they would only be able to spar with the machine.
They seem a little more fluid in TS4 than sims in TS3.
"Thanks, Dana. I really needed that.
I would tell you why, but I don't think you want to know."
Lol, I guess the infection comes and goes, at inopertune times. Loved the pictures! Yup, that's one reason why I bought the pack, I love that they can spar again. I have put the sparring bot in all my gyms and intend on my non military sims to use them too.
In my house, dog hair sticks to everything but the dog.

That was so funny to me.
The timing was pretty incredible.
Also Thea walking out of the bathroom really did take me by surprise.
I had no idea she was in there and she came out with that embarrassed look on her face.
Love this thread! It is so cute and in many ways realistic (I have a two, almost three year old and it is so much work, but worth it all!). Cute screenshots and storyline! Love your home build!
The picture about being a relationship killer cracked me up, thanks for the laugh!
I am still embroiled in vampire drama and forming my um, coven, nest, whatever you call a bunch of vampires. I have 6 adults and 4 teens in Forgotten Hollow with one adult about to get married and make their own little bloodsuckers.
I will get around to playing the scenerio in Strangeville eventually. I figure in the mean time I'll keeping checking updates to see how your adventure is going.
In my house, dog hair sticks to everything but the dog.

Perhaps later, Scully and Mulder just met.
They have to get to work as a team first.
Mulder needs a spark for this mystery anyway.
Leslie is the spark.
Love the possessed sims, very funny!
David Ducoveny is a hard one to reproduce in CAS. Don't forget the lower bottom lip sticks out.
Edit to say, I see the bottom lip now...good job.

I am actually starting the mystery of Strangerville now, but my posting in this thread is much further behind.
My sims are starting to pick up roles to play in the household.
Perhaps Scully isn't the best choice for cook.
Fortunately others were close by to help put her out.
The fire isn't out yet.
She's one cool cucumber.
She doesn't care for the sooty grime though.
I believe Dana Scully deserves some pampering at Skye Fitness Spa in San Myshuno:
Thea is just the pleasure seeking sim to guide her.
Relax, Dana.
They followed their massages up with an invigorating drink.
And then they autonomously decided to brawl.
That darn brawl holiday.
I forgot about it.
At least they hugged afterwards.
Back to relaxing pleasures.
This is all for Thea however.
That Pleasure aspiration has her wanting to get three massages.
Scully doesn't mind tagging along.
It doesn't end there.
Thea also wants to show off her moves at the dance club.
I don't believe Meadow Thayer is here, but some of her entourage is, sporting their cosplay outfits.
Another Brawl.
This is a good time to get something to eat.
And she takes it back downstairs instead of eating with her friends.
To take a picture of a celebrity who isn't there.
It must have been Olivia.
Dana has to sit here and watch Fox flirt with Leslie.
I imagine that it is becoming a bit nauseating by now.
Thea completes her aspiration task to show off her dance moves on the dance floor.
Dana only aspires to get in a nap.
Vanessa Jeong makes for a cute D.Va.
I will have Thea hit her up for an autograph.
Finally, a celebrity who isn't all that snooty about signing a picture.
Vanessa has earned her fan worship.
Thea hangs her first celebrity collectable on the wall.
Why not call it in and get it appraised?
I just learned we can do that.
400 hundred Simoloeans!
She can sleep very well on that bit of information.
Someone else isn't sleeping.
She is busy watching Fox Mulder sleep.
[Very creepy music.]
To bad he didn't wake up to that.
That might be a relationship killer.
Leslie wanders mindlessly over to Dana's room.
She has flipped again.
ØỮŘ ΜØŦĦ€Ř ƗŞ ĐŘ€ŞŞ€Đ ƗŇ Ř€Đ
ŞĦ€ ƗŞ β€ΔỮŦ¥
"Okay..."
Someone needs a hug.
And a spy bug.
Dana will be an agent soon.
Something really weird is going on in Strangerville and she will discover what it is.
Now, snap out of it!
"It was nice of you to visit, Leslie, but I need to get some sleep."
"Good night."
Strange town, indeed.
That was so funny to me.
The timing was pretty incredible.
Also Thea walking out of the bathroom really did take me by surprise.
I had no idea she was in there and she came out with that embarrassed look on her face.
I am putting the sparring bot in my gyms too.
Dana... really, again?
Someone needs to sit down and watch the cooking channel.
Get back to what you do best.
Although, I think I might want her to switch to a science career at some point.
Ah ha, got some intel!
This should take off Mulder's blindness to what is going on in this town.
Speaking of Strangerville, let's see what's going on.
Those trucks are certainly mysterious, but I am curious as to who put a spy bug on Erwin.
Well, he has the right to be paranoid. He is being watched.
I gave this room in the basement a Spa Day treatment.
Thea can now have a morning yoga routine.
Those drinks look so appetizing to me.
I'm glad they satisfy hunger a bit.
Dana, Dana, Dana...
You are about to be banned from the kitchen.
Thea takes over making breakfast.
Enough about the mundane goings on in my game. A major milestone has been reached!
Dana Scully is now a Covert Operator.
Do you really think that a black suit is going to solve all of Strangerville's problems?
Nope! But it looks plumb good on Scully.
[ OH SNAP! ]
Thea is an officer.
Now in her new career track, she goes out to observe the goings on.
Nothing odd happening at the moment.
She should give the library another visit.
The Librarian should be in the know of the goings on.
"Have you heard about the new couple in town?
People have been saying they are a bit strange."
One of the conspiracy theorists also have heard about this couple.
[I am laying the groundwork for my own Strangerville story here.]
One of Scully's work tasks is to plant a spy bug on someone.
This scientist should be a good source of covert information.
She is going to get a town reputation of being a hugger.
Whatever it takes.
Fox Mulder now has an aspiration to solve the Strangerville mystery.
All information and events are pointing them to investigating the not-so-secret Secret Lab.
Interesting.
What is the function of this place?
It looks very specific.
It looks like people left in a hurry.
The heart of this mystery must lie beyond that door.
They can study all they want; this is a dead end without a way to get in there.
They need to find someone with a key card.
