I don't know if this is the sort of thing you're looking for, (or what it involves or what you need!) but I see them often when I'm shopping for CC on this site:
And I did see a tweet from a Guru saying the blurry screenshots would be fixed in the next patch, so presumably sometime later this month.
That's a long time when your simming depends on screenshots.
Thanks for the link, but I don't want to get into figure out what flavor of reshade works best.
I think those shaders makes for nice pictures, but I don't care how they look in game however.
Looks like I will put my simming off for a bit.
I am editing the town however, and I will play some families to advance them a little.
I don't care for EA's revision of the Calientes.
Nina and Dina's mother was N i g h a t Caliente, not Katrina, and their mother died when they were children.
So Katrina is out of the picture and out of the game. I am also making them over
That household description is from The Sims 2 by the way.
And we are going old school with remakes of their old TS2 homes.
Don is here only temporarily, until I can build some relationships.
Dina:
Traits: Materialistic/Goofball/Slob
Aspiration: Mansion Baron
Career: Sticking with culinary for now.
Nina:
Traits: Jealous/Self-assured/Neat
Aspiration: Soulmate
Career: Something with different hours from Dina (convenient for Don.)
Don:
Traits: Romantic/Self-assured/Non-committal.
Aspiration: Serial Romantic
Career: Doctor (Similar to original TS2 career)
And now that Dina is away, Nina will play.
Nina is now established as Don's main squeeze.
Time for that bachelor pad, Don needs his own place.
Right next door.
Having down working as a doctor is kind of creepy, but yeah, he will be hitting on patients and staff.
He's not some bulky, body-building, tattooed bro.
Dina was really hot. He's going to have to invite her over some time, when Nina is at work.
I am totally lost in the Banks family.
I have a tons of pictures and will need to update this thread soon. This is the most I have ever played TS4. I even got a 100 hours achievement.
It's late Autumn and the leaves are starting to thin out on the trees.
I am spending much more time playing the Banks family.
Olivia Banks is one of my favorite sims from past saves.
So it has been great to see her growing up.
I have become quite found of her parents as well.
They continue to skill up for their next trip to Selvadorada.
They also take out time for Olivia to have some fun:
Making more money is always on their minds.
They stop by the renovated Old Salt House to try to get some valuable plant clippings.
All his plants have been reset, but they do take the opportunity to do some research since the lot traits here accelerate the gardening skill.
He recommends that they visit Alma Faye Peregrine, since she came to him for the same reason and her gardens are in great shape.
Miss Peregrine is always wary of strangers who seek her out.
Ann has to break down her barriers.
They harvested what she had and took some clippings.
The rest of their time was spent researching plants.
A greenhouse was added to the back of their home.
It was pretty much a waste of time, as I did not know fully how gardening works with Seasons.
Her high value plants were out of season. So all she was getting was produce from the cheap, high turnover base plants.
I am now re-planning my gardening strategy.
Days later and all the leaves were gone and snow was predicted.
They got an early start on decorating for Christmas.
The first snow arrived on their trip to the flea market.
Olivia enjoyed looking for discarded snow globes.
They stopped by Windenburg for some ice skating.
Roger had accumulated three days of vacation by this time and everything was perfect for an expedition to Selvadorada.
Ann had quit her job earlier so she could skill up to serve as path finder. They could spend the winter authenticating their finds.
Olivia made a huge fuss over being left behind, so they gave in and brought her along.
The plan was for the to stay out in the jungle and camp, but it was simply a pain as nothing worked like I wanted it to.
It was a hassle, I hate that they sit on the cooler. I should have brought three coolers and left the chairs at home.
And then there was this ridiculous situation where they would wake up in the middle of the night, and come outside their protective environment to be attacked by insects and bats. That's the whole point of having a tent.
This is STUPID!
Who approved this? And it wasn't just a one time thing, each of them woke up to do this.
I bet Olivia is regretting coming along now.
Still, this trip was much better than the last.
Their higher skills made them more successful and help them avoid annoying situations.
They made it to a tomb.
Olivia scouted ahead and found out they had to swim to get further into the tomb.
Ann and Roger were setting up excavation sites outside the tomb.
They still weren't prepared for every situation since supplies were severely limited.
Roger was able to figure tomb puzzles easy enough.
Ann dug up antiquities while Roger figured out the puzzles.
They would finish off the excavations before going further into the tomb.
This is great for family bonding, as they spend their time chatting.
Olivia can only excavate piles, not sites, so she was left the basic collectables and a pile once in a while.
Finally, the main chamber, with three treasure chests.
An odd statute, but it must be worth something.
Roger lets Ann have the honor of opening that important looking chest.
Ooh, big money treasure!
A golden frog worth over 10,000 Simoleons.
And a curse.
This is a little more weight than she wanted to lose.
Oh well, it's actually beneficial despite not being all that attractive to look at.
The curse ended by the end of their trip.
They arrived home to a wintry environment.
They had a huge haul of antiquities.
It was a good thing Ann had quit her job. Authenticating all this stuff is a full time job.
Perhaps this haul will be enough to get the new house.
They are going to need another work bench.
Roger can help when he has free time.
I loved the stuff patch, nice term, lol. It took me awhile but I finally found the ceiling fan and the sliding doors...very cool. Now all we need is the spiral staircase and I'll be a happy camper.
In my house, dog hair sticks to everything but the dog.
We are full into winter and sims are walking around under-dressed...
...and falling flat on their backs.
It's a blizzard.
Perfect weather for Winterfest.
Ann is unwrapping packages of another kind.
Olivia is sad about having to wait to unwrap her presents:
But does she really have to wait?
She can risk sneaking one.
The one she's been dying to open since her parents were making a big fuss about it.
What could it be?
What is it?
That bad?
Ah, wolf eel.
Yeah, that's bad. You can't show that one off to your friends.
We'll just mount that one as a life lesson reminder.
Don't feel bad.
You have a great dad.
We might as well officially get these Winterfest traditions started.
The bird looks tasty.
Oh! It's Father Winter!
I wasn't sure if he would actually visit.
This is nice!
Yeah, he's real and now the opening of gifts can begin.
What did they get?
Uh... I can't remember!
This is what happens when you take a long break from The Sims 4 to enjoy a another play-through
of Mass Effect 2.
It's time for the grand meal.
By the way, I used some of their money to expand on the house.
I didn't feel like rearranging all their furniture, but I did intend to give them a proper dining space.
They can enjoy it next Christmas.
Yay, one final gift for Olivia.
I had been meaning to give her one of those.
Nice call, Father Winter.
Eating leftovers on the front porch in the middle of winter, that's one say to send your husband off.
Winter is looking pretty in Brindleton Bay.
Okay, I have to explain this shot.
Roger and Ann did not get wasted in a Windenburg pub.
Ann was going after her Soulmate aspiration goal by going on another date with Roger.
They only needed to score a silver goal, so once they met it, I let the sleep off the rest of the date since they were very tired.
It's the weekend, so they are out on the town.
First, Windenburg, where the put some more polish on their ice skating skill.
Yeah, I am smiling about their ice skating improvement.
Look at my sims!
San Myshuno is their next stop. Another flea market festival is going on in the Spice District.
They are here to buy up all they can and resell it at a profit.
Olivia is trying her haggling skills.
The food stall owner isn't as enthusiastic about it.
The Negotiator!
Getting a good deal is a confidence booster.
Spicy!
Yet oh so tasty!
Ann is all alone while Roger and Olivia are away at work and school.
So she takes some of her free time to sneak away to the Brindleton Bay Blue house.
This is her first time seeing it covered with snow.
EA couldn't make every stuff pack object compatible with Seasons, so they arches will have to remain ever green and ever flowrering.
It's Wonderland again--Winter Wonderland.
It is time to move on.
She wants to see the living space again.
So much to consider.
She going to through plenty of parties, so a bar will be required.
There is so much she can do in that space.
Of course there will be a bar outside too, for summer parties.
She should take more pictures, so she can think about it at home.
That should do it.
This place is just as beautiful in winter.
She had better get back before Roger and Olivia return home.
She wouldn't want them to think she is obsessing over this place.
Happy Labor Day! Loved the pics, but how did you get the shot of Ann holding the camera? Every time I have a sim take a picture, they just stand there while I take the picture.
One thing really bothers me...watching all the townies walk around in a blizzard without winter coats, and falling on their hindends.
I love watching them skate!
In my house, dog hair sticks to everything but the dog.
I am currently playing through the Mass Effect game series.
I started with Mass Effect 2 and I have just finished Mass Effect: Andromeda. I am about to start Mass Effect 3.
Playing Mass Effect: Andromeda second feels perfect as there is a time jump between Mass Effect 2, and Mass Effect 3. The Andromeda Initiative also left the Milky Way between Mass Effect 2 and 3. It's been a long time since I have play Mass Effect and I am really enjoying it.
This is a good time for A TS4 break because I am always looking for the next pack to come along two weeks or so after the last pack.
I hope we get a game pack in October (Witches). If we only get a stuff pack, I will probably finish ME:3 and return to Skyrim.
I do have some more pictures to post from my last round of simming.
I will post tomorrow.

Nope!
They are still updating that game like crazy.
The longer I wait, the better it gets. I decided I would play through Mass Effect and Skyrim first before I take on No Man's Sky.

Good to know it's still being updated. I'm going through one of my regular "can't-play-TS4-for-more-than-an-hour" phases and trying to decide what other game to buy/play until I get my Simming mojo back. I bought Dragon Age: Inquisition a couple years ago when it was on sale in Origin and haven't even opened it! So, I guess I'd better start with that one rather than splash out on something else

We got a Stuff Patch!
I kind of like the sound of that, and this one is nicely themed. I hope stuff patches are a thing now.
Let's jump to a parallel life for Olivia Banks and try this stuff out.
New curly hair, a new top... the shorts and shoes are from another pack.
There is also a curly faux-mohawk.
There were a couple of other CAS items too, but the top mainly stood out to me.
And there is some guy stuff.
But I was mainly interested in the new objects.
I love the sliding doors, especially the glass versions. Those will come in handy.
I don't usually get excited about TS4 objects since the meshes are simplistic and blocky.
But I like this stuff.
Animated ceiling fans!
Love it! (borrowed from TS3?)
A picture to round out the theme.
I love the new wall paper and I am glad they thought to add plain versions.
I really like the large coffe tables they have been adding to the game.
This set is really nice.
I like the plant, but it boggles my mind that they made it on a 4x4 grid.
I will be using the move objects cheat to place it in many homes.
Sliding door, closed.
All in all, a very nice (FREE) stuff patch.
