Sims have to hug before talking, even when sitting?

I'm having this strange but simple and annoying issue. Whenever my sims begin to talk to eachother, they have to hug or do some sort of standing interaction first. It's very annoying when they're eating for example because I have to wait for everybody to pick up their plates, put them away, hug, take them back out, and put them down before they resume eating and talking.

Is this just how the Sims 4 works now or is it a bug? It happens if I queue up interactions or if they do it automatically, it's very annoying when I have time sensitive things going on.

i was asked to upload my saves for testing, but i never got a reply. and the team usually writes back to say if they can/can't see the issue themselves.

@JayedTadaSkier, could you please add to the thread (like Rose suggested), so that it's hopefully changed from "unsure" to "open"? i don't want to spam it. thanks in advance!

The Developers don’t always post again after they receive save games. They use the save games for testing and if they see the issues, it leads them then to try to find the cause. If there are fixes ,they then can then be included in future patches.

my mistake. i've usually received messages saying, for example, "we'll look into this", "we've got your saves" or, even, "we can't replicate your issue".

The Developers don’t always post that they have received your save file, or that they are looking into the issue, but they did really receive the save file and are looking at the issue. What I meant is that although they may not post that they have got it or are doing it, they reallly did receive it and are working on it /testing it. Sometimes they may be a bit busy to post acknowledgement but they are using the save game in testing.

that said, i don't expect to get an answer every time--i didn't mean for it to sound like they had to get back to me.

This issue as been going on since November. It is a bug and indeed very annoying. It makes social interactions time consuming and hard to watch. Like you said they have to stop what they are doing, walk somewhere else, hug, then hopefully they go back to their original actions, but a lot of times if I have them seated they don't sit back down after hugging.
