Floating Speck Above Toddler's Head?

My alien toddler (created in CAS) has a floating speck above his head which moves around whenever he does. It's tiny but pretty noticeable against dark backgrounds, and is just plain annoying.

This is a new save I started yesterday. Also, I took out my Mods folder in case some CC was somehow affecting it, but it's still there. Any idea what's causing this?

Try having the sim travel to another lot and then back home again and see if that helps with the issue.

Thanks for the suggestion but unfortunately it's still there.

Hopefully it'll disappear when he ages up.

Try resetting your sims 4 folder and see if that helps. To do that, move your sims 4 folder ( that is in Documents -Electronic Arts - then the sims 4 folder is there ) to the desktop. Then start the game, and a new sims 4 folder will be generated. Exit the game and then copy back the "options.ini" or " options " file and the "saves" , "screenshots" "tray" "custom music " and "mods" folders from the desktop sims 4 folder to the new sims 4 folder, replacing the new generated file/ folders with the old file/folders from the desktop sims 4 folder.

I had a similar speck once, it was caused by an adult skin detail being applied to a kid... mine was cc tho and changing the skin fixed it. Definitely looks like something has a mesh that shouldn't, or was improperly updated for toddlers.
If all your cc is still out of your folder try changing the kid around a bit in cas anyway...
It's almost definitely caused by something they're wearing... almost...
