So! Rainy and I were just chatting on my latest post about keeping up interest in the collab once Elise is gone in everyone's saves.
I said I wanted to reincarnate one of the townies in my save as potential spouse material (Moose!) and we sort of came up with the idea of planting a guy for an heir to have to woo. What do you guys think about that idea? Let's brainstorm!
How often do you think we should interfere with the heirs? Each generation? Every other generation? Once every three?
Would this guy have to become the spouse? Could he just father a child? Maybe he just has to move in, LOL.
Who would we send? If we each took turns making up the rules perhaps we could make this something fun. (I would, of course, use Moose )
@Meggles: I wouldn't want my heir's spouse chosen for me.
I could perhaps see [a goal/goals] that every person has to complete when they reach a certain generation, or something. Or a set of goals that people could choose from.
I am about to move onto my next generation and when I had a look around I noticed that everyone was either old or a ghost. I was a little brutal. I sent all the oldies off to an old folks home (except for my household elders) and evicted all the ghosts. Then I just downloaded a bunch of different families to populate all the empty houses. My only rule was that the family/single person had to be able to fit in the house and have their own room. (obviously parents can share a room) I am not sure I did the right thing but I really want to play without MC Command Center and I didn't have another solution. I was thinking I might do this for each generatioin.
I like the idea of having a pool of spouses or something that we'd all have in common for further generations. I know for most people legacies get boring after the first few generations. I'm worried that this collab will putter out once the Elise factor is gone. I mean, I have the whole obsession with it being a scored legacy and all that will probably keep my interest but that doesn't have anything to do with the collab since I'm the only one doing it that way.

@SimQueenie9 How would you feel about just having to incorporate a chosen sim into a generation? Like at least "must befriend so and so". That would less invasive but we'd all "know" the sim, too.
Edit: That goes along with a list of goals to choose from, actually. I like a list! Then you just have to complete all or a certain number of them, lol.
