Judging has started. @AshLenn are you still having trouble with your computer? Hopefully you'll get yours up. We are patient, I know how temperamental computers can be. I hope it's not giving you too much angst. We'll keep it open for you until all the judges scores are in. Still waiting on Tonya's scores so you have time.
I'll be putting up the next assignment tonight, (your morning) for everyone, to get started.
Assignment 3 is up and judging for Assignment 2 is in progress. Hope this era is a little easier for everyone. Ooh I can't wait for the 50's, (assignment 4) that is when I start varying the format of the assignments. I'm excited and can't wait.
Ahh, @Jendowoz0612, it's so cool! Thank you It's such a great idea.
You are very welcome, @Neverfalle Oh I added the era on top of it, just in case you've copied it to keep already, thought you may like to have it with the era on the top although it is very obvious which era, that is why you won.
Yeah sorry for the hold up! My computer has been giving me issues all week, but it seems to be working fine now, so hopefully I'll be able to make the deadlines from now on without any issues lol
I thought I'd use examples for my question
pic 1 no black and white, it's the original shot:
pic 2 has some black and white added, but it's closer to the full color pic:
And pic 3 is closer to black and white, but not white and black, you know? You can still see that her dress is green, but lots of the background is way closer to black and white
Just wondering what is the closest to the fade required? I've got my pic all done and edited just trying to decide what was the best fade. I couldn't decide on my own what was the right answer haha thanks for any help!
Also, apologies that the pics are so big. I should've gone back and made them smaller
Colour fade is what I mean, @fabtiffsim and @Ashlenn but the whole picture in colour then fade it so the colour is still there, but looks like it's faded as they do in an old picture. A bit like what I did for the brief background on page 1. The last picture is the right idea, but have the background colour still there but faded. Your model doesn't need to be "as faded" but so you can see the colour of her skin, hair and clothing, but faded. Layers will do it here.
Similar to this shot, in the examples.
Hope I explained that well enough and remembering you can edit right up until the due date.

Thanks, Amy, hope she likes it and it is very fitting for the time. I will be doing one for each round winner.
