@lisabee2 -- you can only grow trashplants but you sell and eat anything that you collect -- except for fish. You have to see the fish and purchase a bonefish, if your sim wants to eat fish...
@Pebblycat -- you could start fresh and see how you feel. If it doesn't feel right, you can go back to your last game. Also, depending on if you pay the bills or not, there are two different challenges -- so you could continue with your first game doing it one way and then play a second game totally different...just an idea.
Hugs and hip bumps and keep on eating trashplant fruit!
OH sad .. I wasted at least one deo will pull the plants when I get in game
@Pebblycat -- you can only travel to Granite Falls BUT if you have met a sim on the street and they show up when you hit the travel icon, you can travel to another lot with any sim that you know...
Okay, I have a couple of questions. What happens if I don't pay the bills? There is no electricity at my place. Also, if I have the money, can I build a small hut rather than sleep in a tent?
@Brennachan So if I made friends with someone from San Myshuno can I visit their house? I'm not sure what you mean by travel icon as I always press M to bring up the world map when I want to travel. I also assume we can visit any of the community lots within Oasis Springs at anytime?
@polargirl -- Yay! So glad you have decided to become a Murklander. Woot! Woot! Please use a tent for this part of the challenge. Whether you pay your bills or not affects the 2nd part of the challenge but you won't know how until you complete the first challenge. So, you have to decide if you want to give your money to the Murkland Mercantile Company for utilities that you don't actually receive. There is no right or wrong answer. The choice is yours!
@Pebblycat -- you cannot visit them at their home. But if you zoom out in your lot, a travel icon will appear with a menu of who you would like to travel with. You can then pick the sim you met and travel with them to a place in Murkland. So all sims you meet, you may travel with them to another lot in Murkland. I will be uploading another venue today as well as a sim and his home. Woot! Woot!
Some folks have expressed an interest in building out Newcrest (now called Nukecrest) with other post-apocalyptic builds as Murkland fills up. You can do this, however, please don't put builds which contain items that give you an advantage in the challenge (like perfect plants) or showers and if the builds do contain those items, please refrain from using them.
@Brennachan I'm in a bit of a tough spot I ended up restarting my game with another Sim, this time a male, and unfortunately he was abducted by aliens and is now pregnant!?! What do we do in this scenario?
@Pebblycat - oh so funny! Those trash plants are giving me grief, too. lol I have just opened a blogger site and I am going to do a story on this. I'll keep everyone posted. Great work everyone!
Great Story @lisabee2! Loved that you incorporated The Hermit in teaching you the herbalism skill and goodness Vlad really does follow you everywhere
@Pebblycat I am so glad you like my story TY for reading and I have to admit that I find your predicament with the pregnant Murklander HILARIOUS! EA has a way of botching it all up lol (I think you could send the baby back to their homeland after it is born .. GL with this SMH
@lisabee2 you're welcome, let us know when you update it
Lol, they sure do. I wasn't even aware it was happening...I had him fishing and he was needing to go to sleep so I clicked for him to walk back to his camp. Not wanting to watch him walk the entire way I waited at camp and was wondering why he wasn't coming back. To be honest this is only the second time I've had a pregnant male Sim so perhaps I should try and keep it I guess it would make the challenge harder, hopefully toddlers love trash fruit
It's pretty much a first for me too @SoulGal7, the first time it happened to my Sims I stopped playing the save
Here's update I've put all the pics under the spoiler as it's pic heavy...
Finally the day arrived, after a long labour Chris welcomed Abbie into the world
Chris fell in love with Abbie Straight away and was the best father he could be...
After just a short time Abbie aged up into the cutest little toddler...
Abbie's disguise..
Chris and Abbie are inseparable
Abbie doing her own thing..
and then this happened..
Luckily everyone got out of this situation alive!
Chris was busy with his garden to notice what was going on when this happened...
I swear my game is really upping the entertainment stakes...
@Brennachan some things I worked out/noticed while playing with a toddler:
You can't bathe them without a bath or use deoderising cream. Abbie ended up having no hygiene but it didn't affect her too much, if everything else was good her mood was happy
Toddles will happily eat trash fruit
Toddlers can't use the bush as a toilet or sleep in the tent

@Brennachan He's also having troubles looking after the trash plants. He can do one thing with them before he's too uncomfortable
