Is CC safe?

So I'm gonna try and persaude my Dad to let me use CC. I would like to think that it is safe so could I use some advice on persauding him and is it safe and why??

With all cc sites, you have to take precautions beforehand so that you don't have issues with viruses or other malware. Making sure that you have antivirus and firewall programs helps to protect your computer. Try sticking to websites that many simmers visit and download from, particularly when first starting to use cc/mods .After downloading cc, check it over by scanning it with your antivirus program.
When there is a game patch update, sometimes mods/cc can become broken. After a patch, try going back to where you have downloaded mods from and see if a new updated version has been released, or if other simmers are having issues with the mod.
Check Simming forum threads to see if other simmers are having problems caused by cc/mods.

http://modthesims.info Is a good mods/cc site. Simmers can post about any issues they are having with mod/cc items on the download page of the item.

The sims 4 resource is safe. There are many simmers who download from there. There can be quite a few pop up ads that appear though, that you need to be careful to not press.
