Saved Game and CC Not Showing Up?

A few days ago I went in game, and all my saved games and cc were there.

I noticed there was a Sims 4 game icon in my finder (mac) that was separate from the one I usually used (which was in Origin), so I quit the Sims 4 in Origin and clicked on the one in my finder, just to see if there was anything different.

The only thing different about it was that none of my saved games and cc were there, and it was giving me a tutorial (but I did not just get the game), I assumed it was normal, and I shut down my computer since I was done anyway.

I get back on the Sims 4 the normal way, through Origin, and none of my cc or saved games are there.

So my question is: How do I get my cc and saved games back? (mostly my saved games because I could just download other cc)

Do you still have save game files in your Documents -electronic arts-sims4 -saves folder ?
Also, are your cc files still in your mods folder?

If you still have save game files in the saves folder, the autosave file may be causing issues. Go to your save folder in Documents -Electronic Arts-Sims 4 folder and move the slot_00000001.save file. to your desktop. That is the autosave file. Then launch the game. Go to the load button ( the one with the floppy disk image) in the main screen in the game, load one of your game files, play the game and see if it is working okay.
If the load button isn't here, start a new save game and play for a little while. Then save the game. Come completely out of the game. Then go back in again , go to the load button that has the floppy disk image, and see if your other save games are there.

If they are still missing, and the save files are still in your saves folder, try rolling back your save game file to an earlier version. These links explain how to do that.

With your cc not appearing, if the cc files are still in the mods folder, try going to game options and check that the " enable custom content and mods" button is ticked, which is found in :
Options | Other | Enable Custom Content and Mods. If it isn't ticked, do that.Also check that the script mods allowed button is ticked as well. Exit the game. Then go back into the game again.
When there are game patches, cc/mods are disabled by the game and need to be re enabled.

I only had 2 before I did the move-Slot_00000001.save-to-desktop thing, but after I did it I had multiple save game files in my folder. (I also noticed that I had lost all of my screenshots

)

Yes I did have enable custom content checked, but my custom content still didn't show up. (But I have fixed the problem by downloading other custom content, so at least I'm good with that)

When you launch the game, are you now able to play your save game by going to the load button in the main screen and selecting your save game from the menu?

Is the save game showing up in the load button menu? If it isn't, did you try rolling the save game file back to an earlier version, in the way suggested in the links that I posted?

I don't think I can roll the save since all of my save files were made today.

I am so sorry

If your other save game files that you have previously been playing are not in your Documents -electronic arts-sims4 -saves folder , you won't be able to play them.
You will need to start a new save game file
If you have a back up copy of your sims 4 folder or saves folder , you could use the back up save files.
