I ordered the sims 4 off and amazon and waited nearly a week for it to arrive. Only for it's product code not to work.. I'll return if I have to but I want to see if it's something I can fix or not
If the order was second-hand, that would explain it. Codes can't be sold. If it was a sale *by* Amazon, try contacting EA Help directly. They can help with issues like that.

Hello
I am sorry that you have this issue,
You may need to be in touch with EA Help if you bought it direct from Amazon. This is the link to EA help. https://help.ea.com/
Thanks. Just wondering does amazon warehouse count as being sold by amazon?
I am sorry. If you bought it through Amazon Warehouse and it was preowned by another person, you won't be able to play the game because the game code can only be used once, Codes can only be linked to one origin account. It would be best to be in touch with the seller or Amazon Help, and see if they can help you.

It's an area for seeing sales in, but those items might be sold by Amazon or not. Your sales receipt and purchase history will tell you the name of the seller.

Amazon Warehouse is returns and open packages. As a Prime member, I use it frequently but, if it was in the Warehouse, it was a used game. All you can do is return it and buy a NEW game. The safest is to just buy it via Origin and download it, quick, easy and, you know it's right.
Honestly, I would just contact Origin customer chat, take a picture of the game & then tell them your copy / code isn't working, but that you're willing to send them a picture as proof that you do own a physical copy. They may refuse you, but it's worth a try. They're usually pretty forthcoming people

I'll have to do that. I just figured I had some gift cards so I might as well use it on something I'll use

@Emojis4life , if you do decide to contact Origin/EA customer support, I don't know where you are but try to do it at a time during working hrs for the US; that way you're more likely to get connected to a US based member if staff.
Nothing wrong with staff in other places, but the US based team seem to be more knowledgeable and therefore more likely to help - staff overseas often aren't as familiar with what they can and can't do vis-a-vis giving out new codes etc.
Loads of people here reported this kind of thing when asking them for a download of the sims 2 UC.
