Can't Open Game After Update

The Sims 4 needed to update. It downloaded the update just fine, then started installing it. It got stuck installing and just sat there doing nothing, completely frozen. I closed Origin and restarted my computer, hoping to resolve the issue. I brought Origin back up. Now I can't play the game at all. It's still blanked out and the update bar is gone. I can't play it at all. Has this happened to anyone else? If so, how do I fix it?

Try shutting down and restarting your computer again.
If you can do it, repairing the game may help. To do that, right click on the sims 4 picture in Origin and click repair.
Try uninstalling and reinstalling origin and see if that helps.
