I am completely unaware on how to visit the job places, and I also had to make this forum account because my sim got pregnant and she ended up not going to the hospital but instead still using the bassinet to give birth???

You need to choose to go with your sims to their work, then that will take you to the career lot. The lots aren't buldings in the normal neighbourhoods that your sim can visit normally. They can only be visited when you go with your sim to work.
When your sim is pregnant, they will get the option that asks them would they like to go to hospital to give birth.

When your sim is in labor, you can click on her and you'll get the option to have baby at hospital, click on that and you should appear at the hospital.
