Sim stuck in 'at work' state

hello everyone,
My lady sim came home from work weeks ago (in game time) and it is still showing her as 'at work'. has anyone encountered this issue before? I can control her at home and make her do things but I cannot access the panels on the bottom that dim out when a sim goes to work. I have searched google and searched the forums here but I have not been able to find a solution to fix this. It is not MOD related because I have taken out the folder to see if that was the issue. If anyone can help, I would love it.

Try pressing the button to have her " leave work early".
Try having another sim travel to a community lot, then have them try to bring the stuck sim to the comunity lot after normal work hours.
