How do your sims react to being unfaithful?

Sims 4 has always been a little lacking in the reaction department though some patches have fixed it up to be much better than it use to be. I still have a problem with cheating reactions and I was wondering how do your sims react to being cheated on? I would love to see if traits or even the amount of time they have been together affect the reaction in any way. I just want my slap back from Sims 1-3 and the 10000 apologies you had to make while every other reaction almost always failed.

Mine struggle with the whole being mad concept.

THis time it went much better than in my first sims game. She was fuming but she didn't mind going into a cheerful conversation with her man and the other woman while the animations switched her facial expressions from angry to happy and back to angry again. She should have been going at the both of them, but she wasn't. The other women couldn't care less and was flirting away though this got a reaction from her.

I was far more impressed this time around as a lot of his interaction and suggestion failed and she returned only mad gestures but I was disappointed that she was more than happy to hug him. Maybe, it was because it was in the friendly section but that shouldn't matter, should it?

I look forward to seeing how cheating works in your game. Mods, please this isn't feedback I just want to see if there is something I can do to optimize the reactions in my own game.

Well Shinya was flinging it with Zoe Patel one night and then took some random townie home with the next day. As he and the random townie were doing their thing Zoe walks in his house and goes straight to the bedroom and sees Shinya and this random chick from the bar. She stood there and watched and when they got out of bed shocked to have been caught, Zoe crawls into bed and cries it out.

I have been playing as a serial romantic guy for a while and he has to invite girls over to his house to hit on them because otherwise all the girls that he had romantic relations with will show up at the lot he is at and yell at him and the other girl when he flirts with a girl. It is really difficult avoiding all of his romantic partners.
So I guess in conclusion, my game has no issues with jealousy and rage from seeing a cheating sim. Although it isn't a super intense rage. It subsides enough for my sim to aproach them and speak to them later on.

I started a game with a married couple and on their first date out the man started flirting, blowing kisses, at another female sim other than his wife. His wife noticed this and got really angry at him. I sent them home and the female sim was angry for a long time, atleast a day or more. She would slam the fridge door and when talking to her husband there would be negative reactions. So they can react really bad to seeing any kind of flirting.

I have one married couple with a baby I play. I have always had them be faithful to one another, but while I am playing other families the husband has been getting in romances with other people... Even though the relationship with he's wife is very high. I took them on an informal date ( not the set up date) to a cinema the other day and was having them kiss etc. Then someone he has a romance bar with (from story progression) comes over and tries yelling at him, and the romance bar with that person gets red.... His wife didn't seem to notice the other woman yelling at him and took no hits (which I am glad because I didn't set up his affair.). I had him not respond to the other woman and soon she left them alone... Lol

I wish I knew how to post pictures here, one day I decided to change my stories up a notch and make one of my Sims cheat on his lover(former-lover now) and I felt so bad for doing it :( he got so angry and my Sim got so Sad - it might be deserving he feels that way but I actually made a Sim try to flirt with him and I almost gave up because he kept rejecting any flirtatious interactions from anyone but his lover at the time, then he cracked, it was soo sad, his best friend tried to cheer him up but she only made everyone angry... darn.... good thing I have two saves... what's worse is that the one who was 'seducing' him was his lover's sibling.

Sometimes they do nothing, other times they get upset, but then two seconds later do a bunch of friendly socials with the accused. I have one household (a guy and two girls) where he got both of them preggers. I had one of my female sims walk in on the other two, she did get mad, but then while I went to go do something else I come back to the two of the women roasting marshmallows together and having a good ole time. The system is so broken its unreal. Don't even get me started on deaths which are even worse. Flirting with grim and such while my sims dead husband is lying on the ground....that little harlot.

ETA: Not to mention that the ONE sad moodlet ALWAYS gets cancelled by other moodlets thus making the "sad" moodlet pointless. All you need is two or more moodlets and it cancels the sad one, its so freaking annoying. This game is so flawed mechanically that I just cant. In sims 3 when my sims were sad they were ACTUALLY sad.

I had one of my sims cheat on his gf a few days ago and jealousy works really well in my game. At first when he was flirting with another his gf would get angry from "unpleasant socialisation" and it would pop up every time they flirted. Then when she caught them woohooing she became very angry and had the jealousy mood let for 24 sim hours. In the mean time, the cheating sim got a very embarrassed moodlet from getting caught cheating. Even some time after his gf was so mad at him. He tried to make it up to her and she rebuffed his advances and he became "mortified". I was teetering on the verge of him dying from embarrassment. So not only does jealousy work, but it does have repercussions for the cheating sim too.

My sim has two romantic relationships... They never met at the same lot, but when she woohooed with second sim in hot tub at the community lot, she was yelled at next day at work by her co-workers. Everyone had broken heart above their heds.
Day after that, second sim was not in town (he was NPC).
    Nice...

I don't know if anything has changed now, but when I first got the game, I wanted to test the reactions of the Sims. My Sim had a boyfriend, but I had her start a romantic relationship with Don Lothario too. Don came over to her house while her boyfriend was there. He kissed my Sim right in front of her boyfriend. Not only did her boyfriend not become upset, but he started flirting with Don too! I was so shocked. She didn't care about her boyfriend flirting with Don either.

I was hoping for some slapping or arguing. :p I loved that mad face that Sims made when they argued or didn't like someone in the Sims 2. Sims 3 was great too! Those expressions always make me laugh! I don't usually have my Sims cheat, but this reaction in the Sims 4 was so disappointing! Maybe they've tweaked the reactions since then. I haven't tested it, but I hope so. Maybe if I get back to playing it, I'll check it out again.

@ 06Bon06 I so wish that Maxis would bring back all of the reactions from TS2. Sims in TS2 reacted to everything that was going on around them, not just them cheating and slapping but do you remember when sims would fight some sims would watch and cheer for whom they wanted to win, while shy sims would run in the other direction lmao. I so miss those things :( I'm like you if my sims walked in in their cheating spouse I want them to run over and slap the crap out of the cheater. I remember the first time I played TS2 I started playing with the Brokes, Dustin came home from school and Brandy came outside and started lecturing Dustin for his bad grades. I thought wow this is so cool like a real parent she was letting him know straighten up mister those grades won't do. Those were the good old days.

OMG yes! I just want those reactions to come back.I have Sims 2 but I'm not always in the mood to play them, I want those reaction in every game.

Sorry for the bad quality, I only recently figured out I could take better pictures. This is how alexander reacted when his dad and Don fought again and Mortimer lost.

He ran up the stairs, into his room while covering his eyes and then kicked the air in frustration. I was just amazed at it all.

love the pics 06Bon06 :) I just wish they would read our post and see how much depth went into TS2 and add that depth into TS4. Like remember if a child would see one of their parents kiss another sim, the child would run away crying and get that angry thought bubble above their heads with the sim that kissed their mom or dad. Or if the parent broke up the child would cry and the parent would have to console them. This is Erin Singles consoling her son because her and her husband just broke up

I've had serious problems with reactions. Spouses seem oblivious to it, but I've had a child get a negative moodlet that made them sad. However that moodlet was quickly overpowered by "nicely decorated" so they became happy again. Same thing goes for spouses who have actually had a reaction, they get a moodlet. No physical reaction though, and the moodlet wasn't very long lasting as it became overpowered by another moodlet turning them energized (because they were working out while it was happening).

These smart sims aren't very smart.

your right. They aren't so smart but the emotions system needs tweaking in a bad way and that's and understatement. I think a negative emotion should carry more weight but they don't.. Sims are always to happy. It's like that movie with Reese witherspoon where everyone in town was always happy set back in the 50's I believe it was called Pleasantville. What Maxis seems to forget is some of us simmers like to see or make Drama in our games.. How can we make a real connection with our sims when they face no real trials in their little pixel lifes and everything is smiles and rainbows :/

@06Bon06 Oh Angela died :'( I think it's funny she haunted her step dad though lol ;)

I had one play through with a serial romantic. I had him plan a social event and invited some of his lovers to the party. When one of the girls he was messing around with saw him flirt and kiss another girl, she became sad and when I tried to flirt with her she would reject him every time. Even when it was days after the party, and the relationship wasn't in the red. That was the one and only time I seen that happen. What I recently notice If you do the flirt interaction long enough the offended sim get over it pretty quickly no matter the status of the relationship. I wish EA would tweak it just a little. No matter the status of the relationship they all react the same way. Spouses and girlfriends should have more of a reaction to a cheating partner.

I am really not a of fan of the always sad moodlet when some witness being cheated on. I know being cheated on can make you sad, but it also can make you angry or the want to get even. Hot headed, mean or evil sims should get angry not sad. Adding in the possibly of getting even, would add so much more drama. Having a whim to get caught by the cheater and make them sad, angry or jealous would be awesome. Or the whim to throw a drink on the person he/she is flirting with. Maybe this can be added later?
