Just think. If this is successful, what might The Sims 5 base game be lacking? Oh, the possibilities. :smirk:

They ask a certain group of people. And it's been clear that they don't represent us! They don't know what we want... They probably ask people who doesn't even play the sims, lol. They must make PUBLIC surveys... Or those selected simmers are the only ones that buy the game? I ask...
    I'm done 11408845_837732146322369_1878584873_n.gif?oh=55694015c46a12a3041f60351a74cff4&oe=55C92B87

I think they only send them to people that have the game, but they might be targeting a certain age group and that is what worries me. I guess we in the forums might actually be a minority for them, since they have to make these to get more....generalized information of what people outside of the forums want.

The cynic in me thinks they put Generations into that survey just so they can have an excuse to reject it. They will release whatever EP they planned to release anyway since that EP is already in development regardless of the survey. Only EA will know the actual results, so I expect an announcement like this. "The community has spoken and it's time to GET REAL! Become a reality star with our next EP! We also have noted minimal interest in Generations or toddlers so we will not be making that EP or including toddlers for a while, if ever. We are listening!"

One thing I really hope will never happen, never ever ever, is more packs with "Get" in their name XD. And I think everyone agrees with me :p

Omg!! if Toddlers came out, I would definitely stop creating CC with the Sims 4 Studio tool, and play Sims 4 until the cows came home! lol, I want Generations, Vacation and back to school Ep's

Yup, I'm done. I'm done with TS4 if they really do release toddlers as paid DLC.

No ones saying we'll have to pay for toddlers, or preteens for that matter. I think it's pretty unlikey we'll get preteens for free, but I'm certain toddlers will be patched in so everyone can enjoy them. :)

    I agree.

EA may be annoying but they're not that stupid.
Not stupid enough to make us pay for toddlers otherwise they would of done that for TS3.

The Sims 3 is the exact game that ended up leading to The Sims 4 making us pay for base game features! Do you not remember The Sims 3 store!?

Yes but stuff and gamepacks are cheaper then the store and include a lot of gameplay.

lol The reason why we have game packs AND stuff packs is to make up for the lack of a store... we already have two stuff packs, two game packs, and another stuff pack coming out in literally three days. The game itself hasn't even been out for a year yet! The game packs and stuff packs have BECOME the Sims 4 store!

Yes, but unlike the Sims 3 store, the Stuff Packs and Game Packs are sold directly to the public and retail, aka people can review the products and EA can't get away with creating half 🐸🐸🐸🐸 content (I mean Auora Skies being $45 and yet the features were half 🐸🐸🐸🐸 is just robbery).

The stuff packs and game packs have been amazing quality. The EP's are the ones that are seeming to be hit and miss on launch.

Most of what I purchased from ts3 store was 🐸🐸🐸🐸 and overpriced.

Gardening lot was total crap, included a greenhouse in bits that couldn't be put together. Not sure if they ever fixed it.

I got Aurora world for the toddler walker and playpen. Unfortunately if I used the playpen my game would continually crash, basically made it unusable.

I did like the art venue because the glass blower machine made my sims quite a bit of money with little effort.

So far I much prefer the stuff/game packs in ts4 than the ts3 store, at least the stuff works.

TBH I think they send out this survey with purpose. They noticed the backlash after announcing upcoming 'EP' (or rather GP disguised as an EP), so that people will get hopeful and will stop complaining. It will improve sale figures of Get Together, as people will be more likely to invest in this game as it seems to everyone that they will one day include all the missing features. Do you know what I mean? :)

Base game includes young adult sims only! Additional life stages released one at a time in expansion packs. Totally Teens, Awesome Adults, Excellent Elders! $40 each. :grimace:

I think it's definitely a response to the backlash. It's rather telling that right after people got so upset about this, they released a survey specifically mentioning toddlers. Plus, it gives people something to get excited over and talk positively about again. Seems like an effort at damage control.

I mean, do they really need to give people a survey to figure out that a huge portion of the fanbase wants toddlers back?

Sims 4 hasn't made us paid for "base game content", it's all been free updates. The Sims 3 was 100% worse for selling minimal content for lots of $$$. Did y'all forget the Sims 3 store? You could spend $2 on a window.

i think toddlers will be Patched in for free along with Pre-teens with Bare features before the Generations EP comes out as Sims Studio's way of Apologizing for the Lack of Toddlers at launch.

They know how many people want toddlers. They know how many people would be willing to pay for them. No way would they lose out on that much money. I think they care more about making money than apologizing. They only apologize if their sales are hurting.

I know I'm a cynic, but I don't see toddlers in the same category as something like pools (which was definitely an apology patch). There would have to be much more work involved in making a life stage. Plus, they know people are chomping at the bit for it. Why would they work that hard and then patch it in for free? If toddlers were free, they'd probably be lacking in quality.

I'm not sure why everyone is so happy about this survey. EA didn't need a survey to know that people want toddlers back, or to know that many of things listed there are features people want. They are well aware of what people want. I think this was simply a way to pacify people on here because they saw the uproar over Get Together, and it seems to be working for many. Some people are even buying expansions they didn't get before because they think toddlers are coming now and they're happy.

I want them just as much as everyone else, but I'm not getting my hopes up about this. Like someone else here said, they'll end up releasing whatever they were going to release anyway. I hate to be negative, but you know, it is what is is with them right now. It's just a survey...and one that a lot of avid players didn't even get to participate in.

But TS3 didn't have major features missing in the base game. The Sims 4 still doesn't have many things like toddlers and cars. The Store didn't really have any major features at the beginning. Later they started to release sets with premium content. That's when the problem began. Now, we don't have any store, but instead we have Stuff Packs with premium items and lack of new objects. The only positive is that they are cheaper now.

The only major feature missing is Toddlers, people keep acting like cars are a base game feature, they're not. Sims 2 didn't have cars until Nightlife or whatever it was called. The Sims team has added the major missing features via patches with the exception of Toddlers.

Why do we need cars with a closed world? You would basically see the car outside your sims house, and then again when your sim got out of it when they arrived at the venue.

Exactly! And if we got OTR, it would just be a big waste of time. Like I said on a different thread, $40-50 expansion to see cars that barely do anything? No thanks.

It was like that in the sims 2 and I thought it was pretty neat. Sims would open and close the car doors (unlike in Ts3 where they would just teleport inside) and they could even woohoo in the car and there were parking lots in community spaces. It is good for immersion purposes and storytelling.
