It has been almost 12 hours since I chatted with someone, and I still can't purchase it. I really hope it is sorted out by the time I get off work tomorrow evening.
I just got mine and tax free to boot! I ordered an EA cash card from Walmart.com. All form of gift cards are tax free in my state. Ordered it using the money I added to my EA wallet and now I an a penny left...lol. It is downloading right now.
@GoddessSims I just did what you did and it worked great for me too. So it's downloading now. I am so happy Now my visa gift card hasn't gone to waste and I finally got the game pack

I still haven't been able to buy, I contacted customer support. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it, my account was hacked on Jan 6th, and my payment method had been disabled, customer support are lifting the disabled payment method so hopefully that should take effect in 24 hours, and they are also sending a discount code.
Well after several attempts I contacted support who asked me to contact my bank ,I did mention that i had contacted paypal who had no problems and why wasn't that working for me either. They said to flush my dns cache, (I personally think they had run out of flowcharts to go through) which I thought was odd but tried for a laugh and no luck.

The problem is origin don't seem to think their is anything wrong,and to be fair it is a minority of us who had the issue but I'm not going to be jumping through hoops every time I want to make a purchase.

I don't know what it didn't like about my Paypal account (maybe the fact it would have been split between Paypal balance and debit?), but I was eventually able to buy using a credit card.

This morning, 7 days after I was hacked, they finally told me there was a stop on my account and I was referred to a specialist and told it would be sorted within 2 hours.
Was it? Of course not.
I am utterly seething, that through no fault of my own, having followed every instruction I have been given by Origin to the letter, I still cannot buy this game pack.
Sorry for venting but I am desperate for some new game play for the Sims 4. And because i have to stay logged out of my account I can't even play the base game to keep me amused!!!
I am in the same boat. I had already tried deleting and reentering CC info. The error then changed to it was unable to validate the card. Card is fine, no fraud triggers on their end to block when I checked.
I am currently on unfriendly terms with paypal so if that is the issue... bah to them. They probably screwed it up somehow. I however shant vent my issues with pp here.
I have the same problem. I have been using the same card on Origin for a very long time and there has never been an issue till yesterday. Now I get that error code non stop. I checked with my bank and card services and there are no problems with my card or account. I have used this card several other places since yesterday with no issues. Origin is the only one giving me problems. Tried deleting my account info and logging out and in again. Now it will not accept my payment information. Tried from other computers...no luck there either.
Tried what GoddessSims did and got a card from Walmart.com. Went to buy the game and of course there is a $1.20 tax so I am short $1.19 on the purchase leaving me back where I started from. I either buy another card from Walmart wasting $18.81 or I don't get this game pack. I am not wasting more money on this.
My account was hacked around September. That must be a part of the reason I'm having problems with my card and PayPal. I'm really disappointed to hear that so many of us were hacked!! It makes me not want to purchase from Origin again, to be honest. I wish we had other options.
Wow and here I thought I was the only one experiencing these problems. Bad enough I have to use origin in the first place (which incidentally was hacked right after I bought TS4 and I had to change my bank card just because of that), now it won't let me pay for it at all. I'm so upset that I can't just go to a shop and buy it. This was the only day I had to play the game in the next few weeks so I think I just won't bother with it anymore. They obviously don't want my money.
When I talked to one of their advisers he actually said that some banks just don't allow their cards to be used anymore on their system because they get hacked so often - that sure fills me with confidence, thanks for that!

same. I actually got 25£ of cdkeys for 21£. So erm, if I buy a lot of sims products in theory I'll have a bit of a discount every time I purchase
other than that, I also contacted support, they admitted that the problem is on their side and they said that they're escalating the issue one account at a time.
I only found out my account had been hacked when I got an e-mail asking me to go to the checkout and complete my purchase, needless to say I didn't, but it would have been good if origin had let me know that they had put a stop on my payment method. A simple e-mail stating this would give us who have been hacked a chance to get things in order. Of course it would be so much simpler if I just lived in a country where they sold EA Cash Cards!!

Thank you so much for that info, going to do that now too. Of course my paypal worked a treat on their site so this is all the confirmation I needed that the problem isn't on my side of things. I can't even tell you how much I hate origin. And it does 🐸🐸🐸🐸 me off that I paid more than originally planned but I hope until the next pack they'll have fixed the issue and I'll have some cash left over from this. Still annoying as hell.
Just to be sure I tried my other CC, which has never been associated with the account since I use it for other expenses. It also gives the error that it can not validate as well.

I got it as I was chatting with the support guy (the written chat, the guys on the phone didn't offer anything of the sort). He just said he'd give me one for my inconvenience, I didn't ask.
I am still waiting on a response from the specialist area. It has been nearly a day that I have been trying to get this pack. The money will just sit in my account earning interest until EA/Origin fix this - oh and I haven't been hacked so have no idea why this is happening to my account!
I feel so relieved that I wasn't the only one who is having this problem. Tried 2 bank cards (different banks) and a "real" credit card and it keeps saying cannot verify. I had to go to walmart today so I picked up a cash card only to get home and find I'm 1.19 short due to tax. I've resumed my help ticket 6 times (spanning 2 days) and still haven't been able to talk to support. At this point I'm about fed up with it and ready to just wait until the thing goes on sale.
