Hey guys! Considering summer holidays are nearly starting where I'm from, I figured now would be a good time to open up my first competition whilst I'll have plenty of time on my hands. This competition is hopefully something a little different for you all.
Welcome to the first cycle of Sim Survivor! The brilliant idea for this competition was devised by Bob and is based off the reality TV series Survivor. All credits go to him for his idea that I’m hosting and working into. In the show, contestants are isolated in the wilderness and compete for cash and prizes. In this competition, challenges/assignments will be issued based on activities taking place in the island and surviving the elements, and will not be fashion based. This means high fashion posing and clothing is not necessary, and your shots should look more like a scene or a still from the TV show itself.
This is a team competition, where contestants will be separated into two individual teams or ‘tribes’. I’m hoping to accept between 16-20contestants maximum. If enough interest is gained and we receive more than that, then the mock assignment will become an elimination round. Oppositely, if not enough interest is gained, then I can lower the amount of contestants necessary to a smaller, even number.
Contestants will have to work together as a team on some shots, and individually on others. Each week, the Tribal Council, or the ‘judges’, if you like, will give each contestant a rough score and general comment for improvement and feedback. The members of the team with the highest score will all advance through to the next stage of the competition, and the losing team will have to vote one of their own members off.
Therefore, I advise you to join at your own discretion, as your own team members will vote off the weakest member on their team in order to advance.

Each week, a contestant will be eliminated. After their elimination, it is their choice whether they want to be sent to Redemption Island or leave the competition for good. On Redemption Island, the eliminated contestants will complete the same challenge/assignments as the other contestants, except they will e-mail their shot to me. This will continue until the semi-final, where I will collect all shots you have completed outside of the competition and put them all together into a portfolio. Then, each judge will pick their favourite portfolio containing these shots, and I will also create a poll for the community to vote for their favourite. The person with the highest vote will return back into the competition in the semi-final on the team they were eliminated from and compete again. Extensions will not be granted for Redemption Island. If you miss the deadline, you miss it.
♋ No arguing with other contestants or judges.
♋ Do not belittle yourself. You're better than you think.
♋ Editing allowed, but no face plastering or photo skinning.
♋ You may draw clothes and hair.
♋ Only two extensions per person per cycle. I will be keeping track.
♋ An extension must be requested at least 24 hours before the deadline and will usually last two days, depending on your situation.
♋ Assignments/challenges will last between 7-10 days, depending on the difficulty.
♋ Deadlines are set at GMT time, so please adjust accordingly.
♋ Please do not be no-show. I would rather you drop than not show up without warning.
♋ Most of all? Enjoy the competition and have fun!
As stated above, I’m hoping to accept between 16 and 20 models maximum, both male and female.

The reason I ask for two body shots, one kneeling and one standing, is for the model wall. I don’t want an abundance of standing poses and then a few kneeling poses. It’d be easier if there were an equal amount and I can pick the one which will fit into the group photo shot for the model wall.

Judge Application
The role of the judge in this competition is fairly laid back and does not play too much of a role, considering team members will be actually voting off a member themselves. I will be looking for one or two extra judges, just to give a score out of 10, and a few lines of general feedback to help contestants improve for future references. I will pick judges on who I think is the best candidate to help contestants.

MOCK ASSIGNMENT: CASTING CALLS!
It's that time of the year again, and the Sim Survivor auditions have opened! Many application forms will be sent in, so you need to make sure yours stands out from the rest. Will you make it through?
Your task is to create an application form to enter the competition. I have provided an example template of one I have created which is along the lines of what I am looking for. I've provided a link to download the template which you're welcome to use.

I'm not sure whether the template loads into Photoshop as I created it in Gimp. As I said, you're welcome to use the example template, but you're also welcome to create your own template OR modify the one I've provided. The one I provided was just there for some inspiration for you.
The application form must include the information in the example, but you are also welcome to add other information which you think may be relevant, like hobbies or skills. It must also include a body shot on a tropical background.

♋ Some drop shadow or THIN black border around your application form (if it is white) so it does not blend in with the white on the forum.
