I tried No Visitors Allowed and it doesn't show up as being purchasable after that. I actually had written down the info from that link previously and it didn't really tell me what I want to know in this case Residential makes it so I can't use some of the items that I had placed, though I may end up having to go this route.
For those of you having problems placing items etc, if you have your sim placed on another lot and have them visit the lot you are working on, I think you can still visit with your household with the lot set to no visitors allowed.. Press ctrl, shift and c and type testingcheatsenabled, then right click on the ground within the venue lot and select build on this lot, you can then use all the community lot items and still take decent pictures. I hope this makes sense, any problems, yell!

Hi Nick!
Welcome to Build and Share! Your entry looks great
But I want to remind you that the judging is done by pictures. The lot itself won't be downloaded. Therefor I advise you to add some extra photo's of your lot to the entry.
You could do this by using photobucket, picasa, flickr or you could create a blog here on the sims site. that way we can get a better impression of your build
Ok, having said that, I'm pretty curious about your nickname. Did you type in your sims 3 serial code when creating one by accident or something? It's very unique
Hi, Just wanted to stop in and say that I won't be able to get my Johnson's home part 2 done in time. To much sickness going on here. I plan on finishing it though, when everyone here is feeling better.
I am going to try and get the new one done too. It takes me back to the very first BnS I did with the sims 3.
Hope you are all doing well and staying warm. Happy Simming!

The home has a luxurious master suite, upstairs Jack'n'Jill rooms for the expected twins, a room just for Kieran, and plenty of space to expand should the family continue to grow. The fireplace is an inviting area to curl up with a book while the kitchen is updated without feeling too modern. The outdoor spaces are perfect for enjoying those sunny summer days. The lot also features a "Mother-in-law" annex complete with an open plan living/dining/kitchen, a guest room, and a master suite all wheelchair friendly!

LOT DESCRIPTION & DETAILS: I have added the separate home for the in-laws. Their home features 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. In the main house, I have added a second floor double nursery for the twins. The nursery is complete with a full bath. I have included a space for Mom or Dad to nap while the little ones are; as well as a small kitchenette. I decided to add the guest suite over the garage. I updated the yard and added a ply area for the kids to enjoy as they grow up in this lovely home.

LOT SIZE, ADDRESS & FINAL COST: 15 Summer Hill Court, Sunset Valley, $291,867 furnished
LOT DESCRIPTION & DETAILS: Built on a 60x60 lot this 4 bedroom, 4 1/2 bath with downstairs office/man cave, screened in porch for gardening and separate 2 car garage. Newly added Annex with two bedrooms and two baths, full kitchen, small dining and views of the fishing pond in backyard. This home also has a fenced in pool that safely keeps the kids at bay while they play in the side playground, and dad can enjoy a game of horseshoes, after that you can roast some marshmallows while you gaze at the stars.
CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM: YES. Hopefully I did this correctly! My first ever post and first ever house I have done like this to share(I have only made houses for my girls sims, now they have grown and moved away I decided to try this.)
Side note: In trying to get Kaye to have twins she ended up having triplet girls. I used the fertility treatment on both her and Kieran and she watched kidz tv while listening to kidz music and only ate watermelon in order to have a girl. I have only had two of my sims have twins in all the years playing The Sims!

Hey B'n'S-ers! I'm brand new to the community and I was hoping to find answers to a couple of quick questions.
First, Best Laid Plans 2 was my first challenge so I'm a little bit lost for this next one. Where is the best place to learn more about Rose for the optional challenge?
Secondly, when I posted pictures of my house I tried to be frugal and not overwhelm the judges. But I see now others have almost 200! Is it better to be concise or have more?
Comments
Thank you, and I will.
I think I'm finally over the flu. Been sick since the Saturday before Christmas Anywho - I am gonna attempt the new challenge but I have a question.
What do I set the property type to so that my sim can buy it and visit with Rose but limit others from visiting?
Residential or No Visitors Allowed, I think, if you want to limit it. Try this website as a suggestive guide:
http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/buildedit/edittownlots.php
I tried No Visitors Allowed and it doesn't show up as being purchasable after that. I actually had written down the info from that link previously and it didn't really tell me what I want to know in this case Residential makes it so I can't use some of the items that I had placed, though I may end up having to go this route.
