The Russian police/military coat and hat are Great in a Catherine/Peter the, sort of way. But I have an earie feeling we are not getting corn with this set.

What I'm more afraid of than 'no corn' is 'no teens, no elders'. Again. Of course there might be some elder/teen clothing they're not showing us, but I have a feeling that once again this is a set where I spend too much time re-texturing the clothing of half my families to fit in...

Building set is beautiful and looks like our architecture. But costumes... It's not traditional and military hat and especially coat doesn't look like ours  But anyway it's very pleasant to see this set. Thanks to creators! :)

Yeah, they could have pulled it more off with the clothing; Overall it Looks more Military than traditional. I wish they offered something more on the folclore side, such as those typical cross-stitched Dresses with the White blouses, if you know what I mean. :)

Well I love the architecture but at the moment the only world I can see it fitting into would be Midnight Hollow. I get an East European vibe from a few of the town centre buildings there and also the Toy shop, so with these roof pieces the world could be redone. But it's far too dark a world to represent the likes of St Petersburg with its "white nights".
The outfits I'm on the fence about. A couple I really like, but get an odd Komsomol youth movement vibe from that teen one and not sure about the Ushanka it just seems a bit stereotypical.

National clothing is always going to be stereotypical, whether they go for historical or modern. They can't generalise that much without stereotyping.

I like that they've gone for modern but classic, so at least some of it I can use in an ordinary game. Some people will hate it, because they will have been imagining flouncy turn of the century Tsarina dresses. Some people will hate it because they wanted peasant clothing. Which would have been useful, but I don't think EA like us to create poor Sims. Or they wouldn't make it so hard to dress them :(

Omg I hope that's not rabbitholes; I hope it's a venue or something. I want that so much--WHAT IS THAT?

My husband speaks beautiful Russian (military training actually, not native)and he's pretty excited about this set so I'm going to surprise him with it today when I get the chance after work. But now since we're all going to want to do Russian builds I figured I'd try to find us some inspiration. If anyone else knows of good pics and sites that would be great! After all, I'm pretty sure most Russian homes didn't have those amazing roofs but I can sure see a lot of the Dragon Valley type stuff working well for Russian villages. Also the roof pieces from Midnight Hollow. Log cabin type-walls seem common as well. And the Drifter's Desire set could also really work for this motif. Russian gypsies anyone??? Anyway, here's what a quick search has brought me so far this morning:

I'm hoping this is a Teen outfit? I could care less if they made 30+ YA/Adult Outfits... at least make ONE outfit for teens. All I can ask. 8)

Either way, I think it looks great. I love the folkloric motifs on the sleeve :D

Russia?! I was hoping something more intriguing. How disappointing. This set offers nothing of interest for me. Well, I'll just hold on to my simPoints and hope that something better comes along later on. Nice try, though. :|

Well the beauty of Simmers is our diversity! I'm a little disappointed in some of the clothing in this set (what the heck is that first dress all about anyway?)but am super excited about the build goodies. Can't wait to get my mitts on it tonight!

Lovely, lovely new build items :) Yippee! Really excited about those items.

But ... as always in Simland, elders must be boring. So tired of this and so tired of MYSELF for constantly asking for elder clothing.

I am sorry I am disappointed in the clothes as well.

The little girl's dress is adorable but it REALLY needed a white puffy blouse underneath it. The red YA dress needed to be LONG AND have a white puffy blouse underneath it. The rest of the stuff is pretty neat tho.

I can have opinion as well as other simmers on here I don't care for the clothes. So please stop being rude and mind your business. It is my money and I am a paying customer. I don't have to like what EA puts out they are not doing any one a favor. I am doing them a favor buy buying it. Yes, I don't have to buy it, but I can have an opinion.

You have a right to your opinion yes, but you constantly find one small negative thing about something to justify your complaint and call it a dumb move by EA or horrible set... Regardless if you like the content or not.

Probably why you'll continue to get rude responses due to that.

If you personally don't want any lash on your opinion, you should probably start posting your negative feedback in a more constructive manner rather than sounding like someone who wants to find something to complain about....

You'll be surprised that even if it's negative, doing it constructively won't be responded with rude comments. ;)

Everyone has their own opinions but being civil with something negative attached to it brings more civil conversations. ;)

    To answer some questions...

There isn't premium content with this set.

Yes, these are cool new build objects, not rabbitholes.

I'm trying to get this very lot uploaded to the Exchange (it's ready to move in and decorate) and if I can't get this exact lot I'll make a similar one.

Builders everywhere are dancing now and singing your praises! THANK YOU STORE TEAM!!!

    Zoo

    P.S.
Many people have been posting about the love of these cool new build items but bemoaning the fact that they feel unequal to the task of building the things they want themselves. At the risk of advertising in someone else's thread, let me say that my request team (D.N.A. Request Team) can build you anything you want and we will only use the items you tell us to use (so we won't use pieces you don't own).

Requesting is easy and free. Just go to the November Request Thread in Creative Corner, fill out a form, and wait for your request to rise to the top of the list and be claimed by a builder.

Here is the link to the November thread:
