I'M FED UP WITH EA DOUBLE BILLING ME RANT ! 2000 simpoints to give away. **CLOSED**

The title says it all. Every month, EA gives me the shaft and double bills me for sim points. Oh, they give me the points but I am paying for 2 sets when I only wanted one.

You ask do I hit the "submit" button twice? NO! Once is enough.

You ask if I refreshed during the transaction? NO! That's how they got me the first time.

You ask if I did the on line chat? Of course I did. In fact, I "chatted" with them 3 days in a row, when the charged me twice for the $80 bundle. Fat lot of good that did me. I didn't get my money back. They waited me out. (*insert nasty names*)

How long has this been going on, you ask? Since March, at least that's when I noticed it. (Boneheads! EA, not y'all)

Have I tried speaking with Customer Service? Of course. The onion is that EA Customer Service is a myth, an urban legend, if you will. In other words, THERE IS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! They just keep taking my money and blowing me off. (*insert the plural form of a bad word that start with "f")

I guess it's not enough that I've bought every game from the original Sims series down to TS3. Yes, people, I have spent a small fortune on games and store items from 3, count them, 3 forums. Frankly, I feel like I'm chasing good money after bad.

Yon boneheads can't seem to make an effing patch to fix the game but they sure can figure out how to pilfer my hard earned money. At this point, I believe EA has the "klepto" trait. :x

You want to know how this benefits you? I've decided to do a little gifting. If you have something on your wl for 75 simpoints or less, this is for you.

jiyq7k.jpg

It's just this easy......

lqys.jpg

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

1. Begin your post with "I feel your pain, ErnesaT." The post something you don't like about the game

2. Post a link to your WL and state what you want 75 points or less. Be sure to tell me the number on the wl.

3. You can also nominate/link two friends. If that person has been nominated/linked already, choose someone else. I'm only gifting one person.

4. This lottery closes when I reach (notice I said "reach" not run out of) my designated sim points limit.

Edit: Took out time limit on #4 and added simpoint limit.

That's right. It can be glitches, something your sim is doing that is cheesing you off, etc. It can be anything.

    Hello

    No gifting necessary. *hugs*

That is just horrible (I had thought something else but got up to let the cat out--the only one we let out and he has no claws and forgot what I was going to say been a looong day :P LOL) That is really just not right. I so hope they fix it soon.

Oh and your Civil disobedience cat made me chuckle :D

    *extra extra extra hugs*

    chari

PS: Something that is annoying me terribly about the site is this...the simpoints from advertising only show up for a short time around midnight...don't see them any other time. And CYS is great and all but wish they would fix my sets so I can get the ones for free :D LOL :P

Ohh I have sth else I want to add, it sucks that the free points are US only, that mypages are often broken and that the wl is buggy, that I never can read system messages and that I sometimes also don't get the gift messages...lol when I start thinking about bugs I cannot stop

I feel your pain, Ms Nesa. I am fed up with EA not fixing their messes so that we have to rely on modders to do the job that EA should have been doing all along, and that's make our games playable.

PS I stole civil disobedience cat for future use.

ETA: Made my statement a bit clearer.

I feel your pain, ErnesaT... ouch! That is an intolerable glitch. Personally, I haven't experienced anything nearly as terrible. My primary complaint is that my Sims 3 game is a total spacehog on my laptop and the free Simpoint link never seems to appear for me on the weekends, or with much consistency on the weekdays for that matter! I guess I'll just count my lucky stars and be thankful that I'm not being double billed for everything I purchase! That's seriously terrible.

    Here is my Wishlist: http://store.thesims3.com/myWishlist.html?persona=DEVIANTUNICORN

I'd like #35, the Jackie Open-Back Dress. Please and thank you!

I feel your pain Nesa. It seems to happen a lot to people.
Something that annoys me is also what Loppie mentioned, the free simpoints only being available in the US and Canada. It was the same thing with the Dr Pepper stuff too. If they sell the sims here why can't we have the same deal? They also sell Dr Pepper, it wouldn't have been hard to add codes to those bottles.
Seems people outside the US get forgotten about when it comes to deals and special offers.

Can I nominate mashellestevens for number 2 on her WL
And myself  (v close to CYS on this set-at least that's one deal I don't miss out on ;) ) WLfor number 1 on my WL.

    Thanks a mill for hosting.

I feel your pain, ErnesaT. OHHHHHHHHHHHH I have ever felt your pain...but I don't think it's intentional. It's as if they have a right hand and a left hand and neither get what the other is doing. I think talking to them on the phone is most effective, but after a few of those phone calls, sometimes I just haven't even bothered to call.

I left the game for awhile (hey Sims 2 is GOOD!) and came back and now my married sims are getting love letters and gifts! MARRIED, if I want them to cheat, I'd give them the flirty trait and make them cheat. I'm sad that EA has taken the game in this direction. I realize they want to keep the game stirred up, but then why have marriage if everyone is going to act like they're single?

I would like to invite you to join my lotto...HERE...

    I feel your pain, ErnesaT.

I wish EA would just admit that they will never be able to fix TS3 issues for people who play on a Mac. They made some bad calls by running the game through an emulator and I wish they would just gift Mac players Simpoints or something for their troubles. You never see SimGurus on the Mac forum because there is nothing they can do or say other than "We screwed up." I wish they would own up to it though. I finally had to create a Windows partition on my Mac just to be able to play the games I had already paid for.

I would like to nominate the following Simmers!:

    Annadenise: Cherries on Top #13
    http://store.thesims3.com/myWishlist.html?persona=Annadenise

    Katieeee: Wave of Light #1
    http://store.thesims3.com/myWishlist.html?persona=Katieeee

Nesa, love the cats you posted! They have all been recruited into The Cat Brigade!

Thank you for being so generous in spite of such an annoyance and outright swindle. *HUGS*

Awkward smiley for an awkwardly satisfying gift. Spacehog, however...

Funny you should mention having a Mac. When my PC died, my bf was going to load the games on the Mac but I told him we could either play on my laptop or buy another pc for the living room but there was no way we were playing on the Mac. It has too many issues.
