I slowly turn around and jump slightly as I see a vampire that's bared his fangs. "get back I have a....half eaten apple and I will use it!" I glance nervously at the voice that greated me. "u-uhhh...hello.."
She narrowed her eyes and scowled harder. "Wimps, are we? Wimps for showing sympathy and empathy, wimps for seeing the world for what it could be instead of this murderous one?"
She scowled. "I don't think you have understood what it means to be kind,"
And with that, Ellena came closer, getting into a defensive fighting stance, ready for a fight.
"Yes, whimps," I said slowly, going deathly calm. I shook my head, a slight smile playing on my handsome lips, "There is no wrong in showing sympathy, madame... but not to your food. Look at it like this. Humans eat cattle, we eat humans. Back when you were human, did you feel sorry for the sheep or hen you ate? No. Humans are our food, we stand above them like they stand above cattle. Of course, some keep animals as pets, exactly like we may keep humans as pets. We are not the same species, even if we once were... so therefor we have no obligations to them."
Ellena smiles slyly. "I'll let you in on a little secret; I have never had a single piece of cattle in my entire life. I was a vampire as a newborn and child," She stretches out her fangs which grew for 20 years before stopping, making them very long. "I am one of those rare cases where they mature past when they are turned,"
Ellena realised the girl had left while they were talking."It seems like your food has left," Her mouth corners tug into a smirk, her eyes filled with triumph. Her celebration is cut short as she notices another vampire pouncing on a human. She gives one last smirk at the vampire man and tackles the vampire (Caine) that has pounced on the human (Kraus).
A scowl came across Ellena's lips again. "In case you didn't know, your lunch is in a peace zone between vampires and humans, in my coven's territory! Each of my coven members owns a house on this stretch of road, OUR stretch of road. So, I'm going to give you the same three options I gave to him," - She pointed at the vampire she was talking to before - "Leave, take some of the blood we already have in stock, donated by humans of course, or drink from him on a few conditions," She narrowed her eyes and fastened her grip. She was quite young by vampire standards but strong and athletic.
