That is a awesome house! I've been getting back into building, I'll give it a shot.

Is that picture from a game though? It kinda looks like it is & not a real life photo. :?

Yeah blueprints would be nice. How many bedroom & bathrooms do you want also any special hobby rooms & is there a certain price you want it to be? What ep & sp stuff can be used & is it ok to use cc or do you want it to be cc free?

i do not have blueprints. This is the only picture if have for the house. I would want the inside to have the modern feel. 4 bedrooms and a few bathrooms. Definitely a nice size master bedroom with a master bathroom. I give you free reign on how to design the inside, just make it fun and modern. DEF a pool in the backyard!

Do you want stuff added for kids, teens or babies? Who are the bedrooms for? How many sims in the household? Do you want it pet friendly, horses, dogs, cats, etc?

I see this being rather difficult. First I see a lot of curves, and that can't be done with the current builder (why Maxis? WHY?) Second, without a blueprint or at least a few shots from different angles, matching it is double difficult.

I would recommend checking out http://www.eplans.com/. It's been going around lately and it's a fantastic resource for floorplans and building ideas. You may well be able to find something similar, perhaps similar enough to make a few simple modifications to better attain the goal you want. :)

Looking forward to the results. :)

    Hm.

I don´t want simpoints, but I´d like to give it a try- it looks like a complicated thing to build, as we have no curved walls, and the stairs are either straight or spiral... hmmmm...

I´ll try to come up with something and get back to you

40x40 lot is cool. i realized the circular parts would be difficult. I just thought i would try to see if anyone would want to take an attempt at it. thats all

I'm not a builder but I can't wait to see what y'all come up with and maybe even download it later on. The house looks gregeous. I once asked for one to be built that also had cirular walls but I can't remember how they did it...forgetful me :(

If you want it anyway, please let me know and I will finish it. It´s just a shell so far.

I think you did really well with the curvy tower in front. Don't sell yourself short.

Fun project! Im going to have a shot at this too, do you have the curved staircases that came with one of the expansions? Although looking at a close up of the pic, they would be too curved.

Ok i think i know how to deal with the staircase.

On the close up it looks like 2 garages, 1 either side of the house.

Hey, I just said it doesn´t look like the original building

I agree, it looks like two garages. But that would use up so much space inside the building...

OK this is my basic outline, ive been building this for a couple hours now so im gonna take a break then crack on with it again. This is just an empty shell at the moment, ive been concentrating on getting the front of the house as close as i can to the pic.

I will upload some more in a while when i start to work on more detail. This is currently on a 40x40 lot but i think it might work better, especially for landscaping if i went up a siz eto 50x50

Aaronrulz, do you only have base game pets and showtime? or do you have other eps as well, as i may have to rethink some of the build if you dont have the eps that im using. I will try to restrict items to to your eps, do you have bahaus windows from store?

Wonderful builds so far, annasommer and litabelaqua!
I would definitely be interested in downloading these and placing them in Monte Vista when you finish.

@OP- Thanks for posting the inspiring picture! This build is too challenging for me, but I'll definitely be lurking in this thread to see what others create. ^^

Good point really, knowing this would be nice. Only using base game stuff is a tad boring

    @ litabela
    Looks GOOD! :-D
