The game will never be complete as life is too large and ever changing to fully fit into a game. What would help is the inclusion of the animations, interactions, and activities in the earlier games that are still missing, many of which have already been mentioned. Some other examples:
the frequent cleaning of all plumbing, stoves, and counters
    cleaning windows
sims need to go to a store to buy their food and clothes - delivery option with the food - and they had real baskets for the food, folded piles for the clothes, and there was an actual exchange of money with the clerk stationed at a real register
clothing changing booth of multi uses
photo booth with different photo types and... well... you know
an actual interest system and magazines that could influence them
proper memories, wants, fears, and long term aspirations
proper attraction system with turn ons and offs
pool table, model railroad layout, sewing machine, pottery wheel, soccer net
secret door (incorporated into a bookcase) leading to secret room
Body Shop - which goes beyond CAS in that you can make your own CC
remote control cars & helicopters - speaking of helicopters, add those to sim operable vehicles. If you go inside the TS2 ones you discover they have full interiors and control panels

Lots more but you get the idea.

Historical item for you history types: TS2 has a hanging airplane in 4 colors. However long ago I hung all 4 up, thought they looked familiar so zoomed in. They are a replica of the WW2 Bf109 fighter and two of the color patterns are actual ones used on the aircraft.
